I just lost my dog 2 weeks ago, he was like a son to me and he was with me through my struggle with alcoholism and depression. Lately I have been more motivated than ever to push through the depression and continue on with my own TH-cam channel because I realize just how short life is and I don't want to feel this way forever, since I still struggle with my depression. Sorry for the life story there but my point is you're absolutely on point
I got a warning when I had a heart attack at 35. I slowed down and quit working 10-12hr days 7 days a week. That only lasted a couple years because I like money and when you're busy you can't spend it all. I have a shop full of parts for my cars. I kept pushing back my slowdown cause I felt great. Two years ago I hired someone so I could enjoy myself and not be pressured to do everything. I had a stroke at the shop and being stubborn I write the feeling off as being tired. I worked several more hours befire I drove home and my gf convinced me to go to the hospital. I went to the emergency room and they did some tests before jamming me in a helicopter to go from this big hospital to the biggest hospital in the state. That was 2 years ago. I'll be 47 in a week and now I have nothing but time but I'm disabled so it takes forever to do anything. Take time to enjoy yourself while you can.
It was one of those moment's where I was oddly relieved then immediately saddened. I mean I'm glad he didn't get bad news from the hospital about his own health but then to hear about his surgeon, it really makes you think about this life.
all i can say about his surgeon is that he died a hero, saving people's lives. i hope his family knows just what he did for others by using his skills. they should be proud that his work helped others live longer and healthier

I spent a week hospitalized in February and some of the nurses were the same that took care of Mom on her many stays and that was the impression I always got, just even more so now.

First off the comments about the other posters losing their moms. I lost my mom in 1989. She was only 46. Cancer. My best friend is at mayo recovering and fighting after 8.5 hours of surgery and stage 4 cancer. For everyone out there I'm sorry for the pain of you loss. A close relative of mine is a nurse, works closely with Covid patients. She is brave and she doesn't flinch. My heart goes out to nurses and teachers and many more who put in close work.

Sorry to hear Chris. I was also affected by my surgeons passing just a couple of months after my surgery. He saved my life and man his passing was hard to deal with.
I never know whether I would feel better if everything bad happening at once was the result of a higher power having it in for me or that it was just the random walk of life, but one thing is for sure - He'd just want you to enjoy the health he gave back to you. So stay strong, do it in his honour

Its hard to find a person with a genuine heart and I can honestly say with the way you talk about to hospital and what you are doing for them proves you have a very good heart. Start a small go fund me in the docs name for his family because I can gaurentee they were not financially prepared for his passing. My wife just finished chemotherapy, we bought lunch for the staff at the treatment center. These people put so much in to helping people when they are going through tough times.

Sorry to hear Chris. I was also affected by my surgeons passing just a couple of months after my surgery. He saved my life and man his passing was hard to deal with.

I never know whether I would feel better if everything bad happening at once was the result of a higher power having it in for me or that it was just the random walk of life, but one thing is for sure - He'd just want you to enjoy the health he gave back to you. So stay strong, do it in his honour

I am so impressed by you Chris. Its hard to find a person with a genuine heart and I can honestly say with the way you talk about to hospital and what you are doing for them proves you have a very good heart. Yo were visibly upset when you got the news your doc passed away and that says alot about you as a person. Thanl you for being a great role model for all the young kids that watch your channel!!. Start a small go fund me in the docs name for his family because I can gaurentee they were not financially prepared for his passing. He might be a doc but, they do t have the money to live with his passing. Thanl you again for being a great person with a great soul full.of love and respect for others!!!!!
