I actually dread the time you'll have run through all of the nodes with none left for you to explain - this is currently my favorite series on TH-cam 😅
Quick thought on the Magic Mask though - especially with more complicated selections, it sometimes does some funky stuff, altering or even completely losing its data when opening up the project at a later point in time...
So, for the sake of consistency, I typically resort to piping the Mask selection through a Bitmap Node, exporting its Luma values as black and white footage. Subsequently reimporting the resulting sequence and piping it through a Luma Keyer then gives you a persistent result.

Nice!!!! I like seeing ppl come up with solutions....there's always a way! And thank you for enjoying the videos...but don't worry, there's more than just fusion nodes to cover!

I think to obtain some tracking data you can use difference operation using the original input and modified colour input

You're correct....doing more fine tuning would get you there

Lol....yes, I didn't want to go there though...not for these videos anyway

Very well explained. Thank u for ur input. Wouldn't point tracking work?

You can track with a point tracker, but any image you attach to the track would be attached to that point and would be the same as attaching on a planar level...meaning it wouldn't respect skewing or perspective

But couldn’t you just use the alpha output as input for a planar tracker tracking around that full alpha so it has the corners and everything to work from?

Yes, and a few other ways you could ultimately get the results you want, but i didn't want to go down that rabbit hole in this video. Maybe once I start a members option one of the perks will be members being able to send problem shots so we can work through them!

You know I’m always complaining about people talking so fast and I can’t keep up. It’s absolutely insane but dude you are talking slow so so so so slow I can barely anyways I’m just losing it right now. Goodbye. Click changing the dial.
