I just made my first Kendostar purchase. Bought a Furisen, woven leather tsuba and traditional tsubadome. I'm more a kenjutsu/iaido guy, but the furisen will be really useful for training in cramped spaces. And I love learning about kendo all the same. Can't wait for my furisen to arrive. Cheers Andy!

    Hi Andy-Sensei,
first of all, I would like to thank you for the wonderful service! I received the shipping confirmation 45 minutes after ordering and the package even arrived one day earlier. Ordered on Thursday and it was with me in southern Germany on Tuesday at 1pm! Excellent. If I learn to hit Men with the speed at which you send the parcels, I'll be unstoppable! :D I don't know if you do it all yourself or if there's a team behind it. In any case, thank you very much! Also to the team, if there is one.
Finally, no more kendo training in sweatpants and T-shirt, but as it should be. Somehow it felt really good to wear the Kendogi during the fitting yesterday. A really strange and almost warm feeling. It felt somehow "right". Hard to describe. By the way, the Kendogi also looks great on me. Somehow I am happy. Ah that sounds a bit "cringe" I guess. 😅Sorry.
Yesterday evening I washed everything by hand. The KendoStar Essentials: Single Layer Cotton Kendogi & Synthetic Hakama Uniform Set is really great.
But what I noticed was that the gi didn't bleed out any colour. So I guess it is not dyed with Aizome. I can't really read the washing instructions properly, because they are in Japanese (or maybe Chinese, because of the missing い at the end). I think I spotted the kanji for "hand wash" next to this tub that says 40 degrees.
    Now to my actual question:
If the gi does not stain and I can theoretically wash it at up to 40 degrees, can’t I wash it in a net for delicates in the special programme for wool (30 degrees, duration about 30 min, spin at a maximum of 800 revolutions or without spinning) with special detergent for dark clothes? Since I can wash it at up to 40 degrees, shrinkage doesn't seem to be a problem either.
I know that this is a very difficult question to answer. Also in terms of warranty and all that. I have already seen your videos on hand washing. Unfortunately, there are always other Kendogi than the one I have.
My sensei would probably say again: "Don't worry so much". Unfortunately, it's not that easy with things that are important to me. 😅
Sorry for this long text and probably a lack of language skills. :D
    Thank you!

Andy sensei, This is amazing! As a beginner, do you have any recommendations increasing speed in making the swift changes? Such as the mawashite men?

Really helpful video, thanks so much! Random question though, I'm getting ready to order a bogu set from Kendo Star and I really like the Do you are wearing in this video. Is there a similar color as an option for the Do-Dai?

Hi, I think my men strike is too obvious even when I try to setup the strike. I am going as fast as I can pushing with waist forward with my left leg yet and keeping my shinai at their eye level before striking but people still have time to defend. Is this a speed problem or something else?
