Greetings from David Chan, Malaysia, I watched it and it is truly,a great video which is clear, concise and easy-to-follow. More wonderfully shown, are of course, the "incorrect/ not-so-precise ways" and by showing us,both the Correct vs the "incorrect ways", we can learn with a thorough understanding.Thank you very much. Appreciated your efforts and a big tq to your assistant kenshi too.
Thank you! This clarified the nuki-do, kaeshi-do for me, even if I am an advanced kendoka, these were a little obscure because in Est Europe there is this almost taboo about scoring DO strikes, so nobody actually goes too deep into the mechanics and footwork.
I'm just starting Kendo like 6 months and all I have been doing is Kaeshi do and nuki do even without knowing what it was lol, btw why is taboo to score Do?
Salut, j'adore tes vidéos et particulièrement celle-ci. J'espère pouvoir faire des beaux NUKI DO par la suite, par contre Kaeshi do sont hors de ma portée
So, you dont crouch when you hit the nuki do? Is actually wierd for me becuase in my dojo we do it a lot, but ofcourse there are diferents ways. Then now trust me, I will become the great's Swordsman in the World
Are you using the camera's microphone when you're doing the demonstrations? Is it possible to obtain a label mic, is it even a feasible idea?? Besides that, great video. Thanks for all the uploads you do, muchly appreciated.
We usually use a lapel microphone, but we had tech issues on the day of filming and were not able to solve them on site. Next time we film we’ll make sure the audio is better!
I've never seen this with Ayumi ashi; even when it is considered Ippon. While it's totally reasonable, I've only ever seen it executed and taught with Fomikomi followed by Okuri ashi. Hopefully, local level Shinpan are watching!!
I'll go straight to my teacher tell him Andy Fisher from TH-cam said he's wrong 😂. Just kidding, great video as always!

All good. Your voice is still very clear, which is the main thing.
So is it fine to let go of my left hand after hitting? Didn’t catch that... 😅
Yes, after hitting it’s OK, but you should put it back on the Shinai again as soon as you can afterwards
The Kendo Show thanks
