Judging by your numbers it seems like you are off to a good start. One thing you forgot to mention is those videos still have the potential to earn money as long as the video is online. So some videos could end up earning a decent amount over time. So at 12 videos a month, after three you are earning from 36 videos and so on. It is like most businesses. It takes time to build a business to the point it is profitable. You need to be able to survive till you build it to that point. The great thing about TH-cam is you can do your videos around your regular job. You can even sit down and record multiple videos and then edit them later. Hovering around the $100 mark a month in less then a year seems pretty good to me. I just watched another one of your videos because of this one. If you keep grinding I don't think you will have a hard time turning your hobby into extra income.

Yeah that (which I have a video of on my YT channel if you want to check it out) and even reviewing stuff you already have. You can also do how-to videos if you have something you can bring to the table that way. Any time you do a video like that, you can drop some affiliate links in the description and then you get a commission (starting at 4% for Amazon once accepted) for their purchase made through the clicking of your specific link. The tricky part is getting accepted first and Amazon wants to see a blog or website but you can make one free pretty easily.

I think your channel is growing the pace it is because you don't put out all these sneakers that have a lot of hype like these ultra hard to get nmd's or these hard to get adidas colabs or limited jordans or yeezes. We need an update. He only had I think 3K subscirbers now he is up to 174K subs (58X more subs). Going by that math he should be making 50X more. That would be about $5,000 a month now. Hopefully he quit is job. Its funny only the smaller youtubers say how much they got. The ones making money don't tell so we have a distorted sense on how much you can make.
From personal experience on another channel of mine, you get around $0.20-$0.80 (USD) per 1,000 views (more like $0.55 on average per 1,000 views), so this video right now being at 1.1m views could have made around $800, mayb e more or less. My highest viewed video at this time is 83,000 views and that made $46 so not a whole lot.

I disagree with most of what he says. I'm at 40k subs and I've made $7000 from ads in the last 6 months from 3 different videos. You need to make super quality videos that will get a good amount of consistent views. Not put out another video every 2 days. TH-cam is no longer about consistency. It's about the viewer, the video, and the watch time. I upload a video every month or more. No consistency other than the quality I put out. My niche is Van Life. And i put out tons of information, plus my van is one of the best builds on TH-cam. That's another thing, if you aren't making money, you probably don't have a good enough subject to talk about.
Taking 2 to 3 hours to edit video isn't enough to make good money on TH-cam. I make full time income from TH-cam and I take 8 hours just doing keyword research and scripting my video even before I shoot. Then shooting takes a few hours, then editing takes at least half a day. No need to release consistent videos. Just concentrate on quality. TH-cam changed this algorithm. It favors consistency far less than what it used to
The thing is, having TH-cam videos making 'Views' this means that it isn't just a '1 off payment' for example working a 9-5 day at work. Your videos gain views every hour of the day meaning that your Ad Revenue goes up and up...
ive had my channel for 2 years but had only posted 3 videos until 3 months ago... in 3 months i hit 2100 subscribers. first 2 months i made 300 a month now this 3rd month im up to 540.00. i onlyhave 300k views total. not sure why im making so much. i do however live stream often and play ads during the live stream... guess that could be why. my friend has a few less subs than me and 50k less views than me and makes more per month so far. i believe it also has to do with what ads play and if someone clicks on the ad. i think im doing pretty decent with hitting 2100 subs in 3 months. i do however review very popular brands in the tool world, so putting the brand names in my titles helps get views big time! the money i have made from you tube i hace dumped right back into my channel buying green screens, nikon d3200 camera, 16 gigs of ram for editing, the bm800 mic... which is an awesome fuckin mic. came with the mic, shock mount, pop filter, wind reducer and and adjustable arm for 39.99 free shipping on ebay. if you need a badass mic and are a broke ass, then the bm800 is for you! it seems nearly impossible to figure out you tubes algorithm. good luck to all of the new you tubers that are watching this dudes videos.
Joey Ferris ive learned thos since i posted my comments... its nuts... i just hit 4k subs and im making no less than 70.00 a day. somehow all of my videos went to private but a few last week which brought me down to 25.00 a day or so which sucks but im making them all public again. i think when i went to make one video private i clicked select all. one thing i learned to growing my channel so fast, is that when you start you need to pump out at least a video a day.. doing so for 2 to 4 weeks will get you recognized ajd slowly get your videos ranked. i hate when i see people post on facebook that theyre broke and life sucks... well if you have facebook then you have an internet connection. if life sucks that bad, then get creative amd make some videos. you can maoe a good living on youtube... you just have to have drive amd motivation.

3000 subscribers is very attainable tho, and youtube is a platform that can make you grow quite big aswell. what i mean by this is that the numbers add up. creating another income is increadibly hard, but 6 months on work for an extra 100 dollars a month isn't bad. building a fanbase can be VERY valuable if you play your cards right! knowledge is value!

I think your channel is growing the pace it is because you don't put out all these sneakers that have a lot of hype like these ultra hard to get nmd's or these hard to get adidas colabs or limited jordans or yeezes. I know unless you have a great plug or the finance to get these kind of shoes its hard to get them and show them off. Im sure you know this I don't need to tell you but the good thing about your channel is that you are different in some ways on how you edit your vids from other sneakers youtubers and that your dedication and passion for you work shows. Thanks for putting out vids for us to enjoy and hopefully Addidas or nike see the potential on your channel and with their help you could grow your channel bigger and faster. don't give up and please don't change your attitude Im trying to grow a IG account and its hard as hell. by the way its @djchino4 on Instagram and its hard as hell :) ✌️

We need an update. He only had I think 3K subscirbers now he is up to 174K subs (58X more subs). Going by that math he should be making 50X more. That would be about $5,000 a month now. Hopefully he quit is job. Its funny only the smaller youtubers say how much they got. The ones making money don't tell so we have a distorted sense on how much you can make.

From personal experience on another channel of mine, you get around $0.20-$0.80 (USD) per 1,000 views (more like $0.55 on average per 1,000 views), so this video right now being at 1.1m views could have made around $800, mayb e more or less. My highest viewed video at this time is 83,000 views and that made $46 so not a whole lot.

I disagree with most of what he says. I'm at 40k subs and I've made $7000 from ads in the last 6 months from 3 different videos.
You need to make super quality videos that will get a good amount of consistent views. Not put out another video every 2 days.
TH-cam is no longer about consistency. It's about the viewer, the video, and the watch time. I upload a video every month or more. No consistency other than the quality I put out. My niche is Van Life. And i put out tons of information, plus my van is one of the best builds on TH-cam. That's another thing, if you aren't making money, you probably don't have a good enough subject to talk about.

Taking 2 to 3 hours to edit video isn't enough to make good money on TH-cam.
I make full time income from TH-cam and I take 8 hours just doing keyword research and scripting my video even before I shoot. Then shooting takes a few hours, then editing takes at least half a day.
No need to release consistent videos. Just concentrate on quality. TH-cam changed this algorithm. It favors consistency far less than what it used to
The thing is, having TH-cam videos making 'Views' this means that it isn't just a '1 off payment' for example working a 9-5 day at work. Your videos gain views every hour of the day meaning that your Ad Revenue goes up and up...

ive had my channel for 2 years but had only posted 3 videos until 3 months ago... in 3 months i hit 2100 subscribers. first 2 months i made 300 a month now this 3rd month im up to 540.00. i onlyhave 300k views total. not sure why im making so much. i do however live stream often and play ads during the live stream... guess that could be why. my friend has a few less subs than me and 50k less views than me and makes more per month so far. i believe it also has to do with what ads play and if someone clicks on the ad. i think im doing pretty decent with hitting 2100 subs in 3 months. i do however review very popular brands in the tool world, so putting the brand names in my titles helps get views big time! the money i have made from you tube i hace dumped right back into my channel buying green screens, nikon d3200 camera, 16 gigs of ram for editing, the bm800 mic... which is an awesome fuckin mic. came with the mic, shock mount, pop filter, wind reducer and and adjustable arm for 39.99 free shipping on ebay. if you need a badass mic and are a broke ass, then the bm800 is for you! it seems nearly impossible to figure out you tubes algorithm. good luck to all of the new you tubers that are watching this dudes videos.

Joey Ferris ive learned thos since i posted my comments... its nuts... i just hit 4k subs and im making no less than 70.00 a day. somehow all of my videos went to private but a few last week which brought me down to 25.00 a day or so which sucks but im making them all public again. i think when i went to make one video private i clicked select all. one thing i learned to growing my channel so fast, is that when you start you need to pump out at least a video a day.. doing so for 2 to 4 weeks will get you recognized ajd slowly get your videos ranked. i hate when i see people post on facebook that theyre broke and life sucks... well if you have facebook then you have an internet connection. if life sucks that bad, then get creative amd make some videos. you can maoe a good living on youtube... you just have to have drive amd motivation.

3000 subscribers is very attainable tho, and youtube is a platform that can make you grow quite big aswell. what i mean by this is that the numbers add up. creating another income is increadibly hard, but 6 months on work for an extra 100 dollars a month isn't bad. building a fanbase can be VERY valuable if you play your cards right! knowledge is value!
