I have to second that. I have only been washing my hair once a month from the very start of my natural hair journey. I would watch and see the natural ladies wash their hair every week. And I said to myself how?? I just knew from my long years of experience of having cornrows and braids in my hair 6-8 weeks it would flourish without being washed. So instinctively I realized washing my hair weekly would be destructive to my hair. And then the brush debate. Oh boy..let me just say this, I use only my hands. I cannot imagine! brushing my hair...no.no. and definitely no. Sometimes, I think editing is a tricky thing with TH-cam. Perception will never be truth. Pre- detangling may take place before brushing and we just don't get to see it on camera. Basically the use of common sense can save the strands on your head.
