What is B&R PLC

B&R Industrial Automation GmbH is an Austrian automation and process control technology company. It was founded in 1979 by Erwin Bernecker and Josef Rainer and is headquartered in Eggelsberg. This Plc is found in virtually all packaging machines. they use Powerlink for communication with it subdevice. the B&R system includes but not limited to X20 CPU, Safelogic, Acopos and many more.

yes, virtually all Filling, labeling and Shrink wrapper uses B&R Plc.
The Power-link Communication protocol make it an ideal Plc for these Processes.

The worst PLC brand in the market, lack of support info for devices, manual not contains detailed info, software is so slow and ugly interface and always updating, delivery takes to long. The technical support does not always provide correct info.

Well, it still boils down to how you are looking at it. I have had the privilege to work on some ABB devices, Specifically B&R Plc and drive. I was amazed afterward. Again there are some features that their software (Automation Studio) has that others don’t have. Finally, for the lagging aspect, I will say that it depends on your Pc hardware. It runs well on my setup here.
