Practicing photography is like compound interest in the sense that the more you practice, the more your skills and abilities grow over time, similar to how compound interest allows your investments to grow exponentially over time. Here's a breakdown of how the analogy applies:
Accumulation of Skills: Just as compound interest accumulates interest on your initial investment over time, practicing photography accumulates skills and knowledge. Each time you practice, you gain new insights, techniques, and experiences that build upon each other.
Exponential Growth: Like compound interest, the growth in your photography skills accelerates over time. Initially, improvements may seem small or incremental, but as you continue to practice regularly, your skills compound, leading to exponential growth in your ability to capture compelling images.
Feedback Loop: Practicing regularly creates a feedback loop wherein you learn from your mistakes and successes. This feedback loop reinforces positive habits and helps you identify areas for improvement, leading to more efficient skill development.
Persistence and Patience: Just as compound interest requires patience and persistence to yield significant returns over time, mastering photography requires the same dedication. It's not about overnight success but rather about consistent effort and a long-term commitment to improvement.
Quality of Practice Matters: Just as the quality of your investments affects the growth of your financial portfolio, the quality of your practice sessions significantly impacts your growth as a photographer. Deliberate practice, where you focus on specific skills or techniques and seek constructive feedback, enhances the effectiveness of your learning process.
Overall, practicing photography regularly is akin to investing in your own growth and development. By understanding the principles of compound interest and applying them to your photographic journey, you can harness the power of consistent practice to see substantial improvements in your skills and creative output over time.

practice is key, if I saw someone with a new camera and someone with a well-used camera, and had to choose who'd have the better photos knowing nothing else about them I would choose the one with the well-used camera.
As someone who's gone through 3 camera bodies during his hobby, it takes at least 1000 photos with a new kit to learn it even if it's a kit lens.

A true demonstration of what photography actually is sometimes 😂 not always knowing what to do or how to do it but making it up and training that creative muscle.
Such an authentic video, and you ended up with some bangers! Loved it

Ayeeee thanks mate! Appreciate it. That’s pretty much how I go about most of my photography work🤣
I find that the more I train my creative mind outside of the private shoots the better results I seem to get when I do have wing it 🤣 which just so happens to be 90% of the time!

Great video, thanks! Couple of questions: where was this? (Sorry if I missed it in the video). Where did you get the light bar from?

Hi Gary! Sorry I forgot to mention the location. This place is called Wilsey Woods. As for the light bar I bought it off of amazon. I believe it may be the Ambitful A2 light bar. If you have any problems finding it drop me a message on Instagram 👍🏼🔥
