Personally what do you do with placo’s do you kill them or leave them out the water since there an invasive species? and is it true it’s illegal to put them back in the water I’m from Zapata Tx home of the falcon lake
Im not sure if it's illegal to throw them back on the water. But I rather throw them back in the water, rather than leaving them dead outside so they can smell
They are invasive....should never throw back - feed the yotes or coons!

Catfish. Channel catfish and blue catfish
Their nick name is pleco, they are from South America,they are bottom feeders
Plecostomus. Breeds and hybrids between them vary widely. Popular in the pet fish industry and ones with crazy coloring like that can get expensive! Most likely an artificially introduced population in that canal system due to people releasing unwanted fish from their tanks. Plecos are survivors and they can get pretty big. Beautiful, but invasive.
