    Does the bottom of the new bricks require a foundation as such? or just a straight forward bricking. And do we need to let the council know? or getting planning permission?

    Here in the states there was a period of time when it was popular to brick a wall with access mortar squeezed out and left unfinished. I think it was a terrible look. Did you have that style in the UK?

    Bang on Job Stu! Quick question for you, I've got a garage which I want to convert into a room. My neighbour had hers done and they dug a foundation for the wall. Is this something that needs to be done or can you just build the wall on the existing concrete floor?

    • @Stucrompton1

      providing the slab is checked and sufficient thickness and this was :)

    Morning Stu I love watching your videos you're a real craftsman. I'm about to embark on bricking up garage to create a window for conversion this is my first time brick laying. Do I need to dig deeper footing or can I build straight on to the garage concrete slab.?

    • @Stucrompton1

    Hi Stu, was there a issue with you building on top of the slab? I am about to do a garage conversation was wondering if I would have to dig down of I can build straight on top

    • @Stucrompton1
      @Stucrompton1  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The footings of the house went straight through the garages as there is no point stopping the dig at the garage points.
