In the laundry room, shift the window over and make it a door from a garage/carport, making a mud room and granting access into the kitchen for unloading groceries. That loft (which for me would be a craft room as well as an office) could use a half bath in the alcove where the large plant is located now, eliminating the need to run downstairs when nature calls while working/crafting (Crafters need ready access to water from time to time!). Another excellent design, Jasper!
Hadn't thought of the 1/2 bath idea. It's a good one plus the entry into the laundry room. Can I suggest one more tweek. Lose the bench by the half bath and add a linen closet. OR, ... ... Is it the TIME OUT SPOT FOR THE KIDS?
I really like the verandah and covered outdoor area at the back of the house. Feeling inspired, I printed out letters on paper that spells out "PANTRY" and stuck them on our pantry door. When my wife saw it, she burst out giggling and before I could even show her this video, she said, "Stop getting ideas from youtube videos! You know how your mischief always gets the better of you."
You had me at that book/reading nook! I do think function over design aesthetics needs to be the priority in key areas like entryway storage and kitchens! En enclosed closet may not be as eye-catching as the rustic lockers and an over-the-range microwave may not be attractive but these are features you come to appreciate! Great home -would definitely live here!
I like the protected entry and the foyer area. The living area is open and spacious. The kitchen lacks storage, though there is a pantry closet. In the Jack-and-Jill bathroom I would have a standard tub/shower combo rather than the stand-alone tub to offer more options. The loft library would work for some of us, while others would enclose it as a media area or another bedroom suite.
Preciosa los porches las habitaciones toda la distribución lavadora etc pero porque estando en el campo no ponéis una piscina muchas gracias por tus vídeos un saludo desde Galicia España
A really lovely home design. There is one change I would make, though. The front door entrance, which also leads to the main bedroom, is not the best for energy efficiency. I would wall off the current corridor that leads to the dining room. Instead I would have a door that leads into the stair hall, giving that space a more defined role in the life of the house. By turning the powder room sideways, there is enough space to move the bedroom door back. I would also install an exterior door in the laundry area and have the parking/garage close to that. Easy to carry groceries in and put them away in either the pantry or the kitchen. The rest of the design is absolutely beautiful.
Finally a three bedroom and an office. I love everything about this one ! What a beautiful design! Thanks, Jasper design. You've knocked it out of the ball park with this one! Love the deep front porch and absolutely love the back one, too! It possibly looked big enough in that laundry room to house a chest freezer. The only thing was you had no idea the size of that panty because they never showed the inside. I would want a large one! Other than that being said, it is absolutely perfect!
Sorry I missed this when it first came out! It is luxurious. I love the soaring spaces, and the simplicity of all the white along with woodwork. Ngl though, I felt a little disoriented at times in the walk through. I'd do just a couple of very small changes, and then, in my mind, everything would seem logical. (It might just be me, though.) That combo hallway/mudroom that leads to the back porch and the primary bedroom - open it up. Where the coat storage is now, take out that wall, so it is open to that sweet hang-out space with the window seat. (What is that area - a gameroom? Reading nook? Anyway, it is adorable.) This is so if you are hanging out on the window seat and decide to go out on the porch, the door is right there. It seems more natural. The porch is set up as a hangout zone, not as utilitarian space. The indoor and outdoor hangouts should connect. (You can keep the part of the wall behind the bench if you want. It could be a closet.) Have the laundry room be the new mudroom - add an exterior door and a hall tree. It's big enough. Laundry is a utility and coat storage us a utility, and those functions are a natural fit to be together. That's all! Lovely vision. Jasper, as always!
