Back when I first saw this anime, I never really found it odd that that Tooya was able to repel thos puple energy waves from the tenyou. It's like he had a purple barrier himself. Maan, was I unobservant lol!
he doesnt show any emotion because he's always confused, he doesnt remember anything about his past and doesnt recognize what he really feels,, thats why one of the previous episode, he kind of asked aya if what he feels is "love"
@PikkuRiisa Being an anime freak, I've noticed that a lot of anime shows have that same pattern; for example: sailor moon, Bleach, ranma1/2 , Golden Boy, Love Hina, etc etc lol
I must be the only one who totally doesn't like Touya. xD; I mean, he's cool and everything..but the belly shirt and classic amnesia/stoic lack of personality thing just do not do it for me. :P Yuuhi all the way!! Reminds me of Tasuki. ^-^

Touya kinda remind me of ikuto from shugo chara, ikuto was also at the bad side, because he must, like touya. They so alike i think ;a
