Vsync isn't the cause for the frame pacing issues. It's likely due to shaders compiling on the fly, which leads to microstutters. The game needs updates. Ideally shaders should be precompiled in the menu, rather than during gameplay.

Hi Scott! From what I watched, I could also see the frame skipping issues.
on games that the fps is unstable i suggest turning v synce off let the fps run way higher than the refresh of your monitor so when it does those dips it not as noticable since you be running like 200 or so fps so the dip would go down to like 120 as when using v synce you start at 120-144 whatever an it dips from their which makes the lag
Wow that FPS drop is intense, can see it clearly effects the car physics as well, it's almost like it hits an invisible wall in a slide... guessing it's trying to render scenery off the track or something and causes the frame skips, really not good.
FInally, a rally game that you PICK the car that you want! Its amazing that you can customize it too with so many options.

Yh is basically career mode from f1 23 but on wrc do it's lazy from ea rather the old wrc because then u build your whole team
That's just normal for EA, the same way Fifa (over the last god knows how many years) FC24 , Madden NFL, NHL and so on are all copy and paste of each other, they do it because they think people won't cross over and notice how fking lazy they are.

overall it's a pretty good game. i always skip the RWD cars though; they're an absolute nightmare to drive unless you enjoy doing 360 spins every few hundred yards. i've never driven one in real life but i certainly wouldnt like to....

If your fps is dropping cause your playing a ps5 games on a pc then just buy the ps5 as i get 200-350fps on my ps5 with high graphics

The frame issue is the same on the Xbox, has caused me to crash a few times, a real pain in the jacksy!
Best rally game and experience I've ever had and cost about 18£ or less lol it costs me more to fill my car up each week, buy this game you won't regret it.

I have quite a few parts earned to build my own car but I want the the same dash display he's using lol bigger the better but I'm new to it don't have enough budget yet I'm working on it hehe
I think this might be quite an old video they have fixed the screen tare problem I haven't had any maybe a few times, I need to be in the seat so I've got my hands on the wheel so I know if I'm under or over steering, people who have the whole outside of the car as their view are savages lol idk how the hell you stay on the road 😅
That looks like a loading issue, not so much fps. Game engine issue. Definetly not ideal for a game that requires complete attention.
When driving on ice and snow, you can't turn while braking, it will just slide in the direction your going with the brakes on. Need to keep the wheels turning to get traction.
Do I have do all the training courses in junior wrc ?
Get bent with the freedoms per yard. Other than that great content mate.

So im on Xbox series x and I get screen tears and pauses. I’ll be driving it freezes for a second and carry’s on. It’s annoying. I’m sure they will fix it in a patch. Quite few people annoyed by it

Another PC game running on Unreal Engine with shader compilation stutter. Honestly, I expected better from a talented and experienced developer like Codemasters. And don't tell me that they aren't aware of this issue as it is the most talked about problem when it comes to Unreal Engine on PC.

Doesn't make sense, I played 5 ue4 engine racing games and they don't stutter, it's a codemasters skill issue

wind your neck in pal, it's an early access code as stated in the video description. An RTX 4090 has literally 10x the power of a PS5
@@wearyolive76 no it ain’t, playing at 3840x2160 at 176fps on ultra. You just need to disable vsync through the nvidia control panel
