Looking smart as an Admiral's Launch - get too near a Frigate and you'll be saluted. What a sweet craft. After an evening meal at home, then a quick drive to the boat and you're off for the most relaxing time of the day. No fuss to get fired up and ready, this boat has simplicity of operation with details that would have any Admiral feeling comfortably secure. Or make it a Friday night and spend a weekend. Or float through your Summer holiday - many a proper adventure await.
I'm like "I can spend months on this boat" when you say it has potential for a weekend... Slept for 2 weeks on a 14 foot open boat during rainy weather in Denmark this summer, anything is possible haha
Not normally my style but I really like this... She’s got a proper ‘Dunkirk Little Ship’ feel, in fact if I was lucky enough to have this boat I’d name her ‘Spirit of Dunkirk’... lovely! Thanks Nick, enjoyed that!
Do you really have to bring this conspiracy theory crap into the bit of joy that an Aquaholic video brings. Go and find another way to make yourself feel important.
Ah, the sheep insult, well done, very inventive. So I assume you've come up with the global conspiracy tosh all by yourself? Perish the thought that you took up somebody else's idea. Enjoy it.
I would prefer not to have to contradict your childish rants on the Aquaholic channel but I can't let your rather confused logic pass. It would not matter which source I quoted to you as you would just claim that it is part of the conspiracy. So I will just go with the evidence of my own eyes, as a nurse of 31 years experience I have never seen anything like this before. I have seen more people die this year with the same symptoms of the same disease. My hospital has quadrupled the number of its intensive care beds to cope with the influx of patients. This has not happened in the previous 30 years of my career. It is not a good end to anybody's life. I hope you and yours stay safe.
I'm glad you came out of it well, you sound like you look after yourself. However, I can't find anything in your last message to back up your argument. You have, rightly, recognised that people who are overweight are at greater risk of the virus but that doesn't make it a construct of government. If the virus isn't real or isn't as bad as it appears to be why do you think they are treating it as they are? Are all the government's of the world involved? The US government can't even keep a phone call between its president and a local official secret, my government is full of holes and leaks, it can't keep a secret even when it's trying. Surprisingly, over a 31 year career, I have made many friends who work all over the country, thank you for letting me know that they have been lying to me when they say they're as busy as we are. As for the conspiracy theorist origins, many words and phrases and subtly change their meaning over time, the current use of the phrase still fits my original argument. I am quite surprised that you're a Cosmo reader though.
When I first saw the thumbnail my impression was that this is a lot of money for a dumpy looking boat. But, seeing the rest of the video I realised that I was totally wrong! What a great looking boat with so much well made stuff packed into 27 foot vessel. It’s easily seen that this is quality workmanship and well designed and I really like it. Certainly a serious contender in my humble opinion. Glad to see this video, thanks.
Lovely boat Nick. My grandfather was a shipwright and worked on Sir Malcolm Campbell's yacht "The Blue bird IV" that was launched from the Goole dock yards. I do remember him showing me some dove tail joints and other wood work skills that he used to do. Lovely to see the craft work in modern boats still happening. Thanks for the video.
That's just a cute little boat! It even has a nice little galley! I'm 6'3" so it might not be the most comfortable interior for me, but this isn't for cruising the fjords in the wintertime. Very nice!
Great little vessel. We call this style a "downeast" here in the states. I spent many a day and night on a Fortier 26' on the Intracoastal waterway. If you ever get a chance to run about on a Fortier they are excellent. Not quite as lavish but still beats rowing.
You need to take jack and maggie out on a date. Lol Poor jack never sees any action. Lol. Another great vlog Nick. Keep them coming Appreciate the effort you got through you to keep is updated on great toys. Thank you.
Wow this brings back memories,my Grandfather owned a boat near enough identical to this,he used to keep it on Instow beach, in Devon where he lived, spent many a happy summers there as a child, thanks for this 😊
you know what? if i couldnt afford the Dutchy 35, I would not feel this Dutchy 27 is much of a compromised, half of the price, but not half of boat, smaller portions but this boat basically have anything you need to have fun over the weekend, or even week, stunning, please bring more of these boats to the channel Nick, happy new year !
Very pretty and functional little boat. I can see having one of these in south Florida and docking it behind the house on the canal and going on short cruises to beaches and sandbars. If weather suddenly turns on you, plenty of room to comfortably spend the night.
Great looking picnic boat the door panels are a bit fussy and the plate rail on the cockpit table will be challenging as the yacht matures with use. I really like the tool door with everything close at hand.
Lovely Jubbly, Nice and Simple! No Farting-about with Engine far down in a Dungeon. Easy Jump-in Day-out or Weekender. Electric Toilet flush, too... 200hp Engine - SOLD! LOL. Thanks Nick. Anchor locker Location, please.
Nice Vlog 👍and good looking day cruiser. I like the natural looking wood with the blue and white interior. You can tell they put some of thought into little details like the tool drawer, coffee mug holders, and the fitment of everything, especially on the front deck with the way the wood floor strips had smooth corners and rounded shapes that blended into each other and not just flat squared off and angled edges. This looks like it should be sitting with some old Chris Craft Constellations and Runabouts alongside it!
What a lovely little boat, love the blue painted hull and blue seat cushions, very smart looking! This is all I would need for a relaxing day out on the water. Thank you for the tour.
Wow the craftsmanship, what an outstanding craft, that has got to go into my top ten, absolutely lovely, I could really see myself living with that. Thank you Nick for an amazing boat tour, brilliant!
A very happy New Year to you and your family, and thank you for all the entertainment last year, I look forward to this year with a sense of anticipation. At 77 years old I am unlikely ever to buy a boat now, but you help my dreams! Cheers Peter
In 1973 my parents bought a Thunderbird 23' cathedral hull. It was exactly what the ranger boat on the American TV show Flipper used. This reminds me of that boat but the Thunderbird's top speed was 43 knots. We went down from a 43 foot wood fishing boat and we used it for commercial long line fishing that could be trailered behind a big pickup truck. It looks like a smart fishing boat, not a yacht at all. Very nice boat!
Hi Nick. Thats a beautiful boat, top quality British craftsmanship for a duchy of Cornwall HRH. Stunning walnut cabinets, leather, and teak decking. Nanni engines are very economical. Awesome walkthrough tour thanks 😊
Really odd to see the wheel on the left hand side, don't think I've seen a boat with steering on the opposite side before. Lovely boat, great video as usual Nick.
I did a course a few years ago on a Nelson 42 ex-pilot boat, helm was on the port side, and I remember from my diving days in the 80s being on an Aquastar with the helm to port.
My neighbor, a wonderful eccentric with a predilection to get into every possible hobby bought a steel hulled boat not unlike this one, he completely stripped it down and was halfway through when he moved onto other hobbies. It sat outside in his front yard for many years, in a half-finished state until he finally put a "for sale" sign on it and it was gone in a matter of weeks, always wondered what happened to that boat.
I love that boat, it’s a little beauty 👍 Am sure it’s not cheap as it’s built so well, such great craftsmanship but wonderful to look over something that’s more down to earth. Thanks Nick
It certainly looks better than most sporty yachts at that size but the interior hight might be a bit low and the engine box in the middle of the walkway seems impractical. I'd still pick this over the others just because it looks much better and I wouldn't really spend a week on it more likely weekends.
A really nice allrounder for coastal fishing or inland or coastal touring The woodwork is absolutely amazing, compare that with the Bavaria from a few episodes ago.
Beautiful little day boat. I think the hallmark of this one is the woodwork and I personally love the blue hull. Here’s Nick’s hallmarks: Shoe magic? 147 grand, that shaft drive better me solid palladium. Lovely boat but I would definitely buy something second hand and bigger at that money. Great video as always,my wife thinks I'm daft as a brush describing our toilet as the heads and our bedroom as the aft portside cabin. I spent many years at sea and only have a refinn 6m at the moment but it still gets me on the water.👍🏴

I love this little boat - they used to be made, I believe in west London (I could be wrong), but were definitely called the Maritek Aquila 27....Cockwells have taken a beautiful little boat and made it even better....I really really want one....who needs a FO great big white sports boat that looks like a Nike trainer when you can have one of these....?
Another great video, Nick. I want to wish you and Marianne a happy new year from here in Texas. We love your channel and look forward to more videos from you this year.
Hopefully that might attract a 1st timer to get out on the water. What a lovely small craft and so beautifully put together by folks who care about quality, although we get to se a lot of that on here ...... quality I mean. What a fantastic boat to out fishing for the weekend with a like minder. Brilliant, thanks :)
Who else doesnt boat but is addicted to these vids?
I am too much of a land rat to wish to own a boat, but we rent one from time to time. Works for me.
But I enjoy Nick’s walkthroughs a lot!
Nice to see I'm not alone :D
Most of these people ... everyone here i think almost basically 😁😂
Pretty much everyone!!! 😂
Meeeeee!!
Anyone else feels this is a really cute boat?
For 150k you get 3cabins 2washrooms flybridge, no?!

Thanks for watching!
I’ve never heard a phrase more British than “These are built by Cockwells down in Cornwall”
I love when nick says "you can do!"
It sounds expensive for what it is but the amount of man hours and craftsmanship is fantastic
Lovely wee boat and perfect for cruising Loch Lomond near to where I live.
Very nice little vessel always been fond of these classic looking proper bits of English engineering and boat building
Super little craft, and built to last
I'm like "I can spend months on this boat" when you say it has potential for a weekend... Slept for 2 weeks on a 14 foot open boat during rainy weather in Denmark this summer, anything is possible haha
Totally agree!
One can sleep in a cardboard box under a bridge if one likes. I guess it's about what your level of comfort and practicality is.
Took a 4 day trip last summer on a canoe down a river
Not normally my style but I really like this... She’s got a proper ‘Dunkirk Little Ship’ feel, in fact if I was lucky enough to have this boat I’d name her ‘Spirit of Dunkirk’... lovely! Thanks Nick, enjoyed that!
Glad you liked it!
What a lovely boat, ideal for the Broards.
Lovely little piece of kit
Lovely Boat can see Mr and Mrs Holic with the picnic hamper and champagne cruising along the Thames past Hampton court.
🤔
Omg Love the traditional styling the lines just a fabulous yacht.
Beautiful. That tool drawer is geek porn.

Say, can one just buy the tool drawer? My OCD went into overdrive, that alone would be worth buying this sweeping curved beauty.
Totally agreed. The tool kit is definitely the cherry on the top.
I didn't like the screwdrivers, but they can be easily replaced....
In my opinion the rest of the boat is a plus for that tool kit. When I seen them tools I got butterflies in my stomach
Quite a nice first boat. Those boys from Cockwells would fit right in with the boatbuilders here in New England.
Doesn't this Duchy 27 look like the down-easter boats from your area?
@@jaquigreenlees Yes it does!
a real boat with a lot of character and a bit of charm thrown in ....thanks for sharing Nick

Neat little river cruiser :) nice.
Very Proper !! Excellent attention to the little details.

The BEST of straightforward boating! Quality throughout; practicality...ditto!

I'm more of sailboats kind of person than a motor yachts enthusiast, but this boat is perfect. Top 10 on the channel for me.
Lovely little boat... Thanks Nick..
No problem 👍
Good Day to you. Thank you for this tour.
Thank you for watching it! 🙂
You are welcome.
These Duchy Boats are beautiful very elegant with a timeless look. I am very impressed with this 27. Great Vid Nick Cheers
Many thanks!
Good looking fishing boat.
Great to see a tour of a boat that is a similar size to my viking 26, albeit its a lot posher.
Very nice little boat 👍
Lovely boat. Thank you, Nick!
My pleasure!

The dark blue colour makes the boat look very classy.
I really like that little boat. Not practical for my needs, but a really cool and stylish boat.

@@AQUAHOLIC You must not need a 'dopp kit' then.
then he'd have to look after a bunch of handbags and fanny packs.

Superb woodwork with proper hinges which you don't see very often these days even on Super yachts.
Very nicely put together boat
Thanks for the review Nick. I love that you do all price ranges of boats/yachts.
Glad you like them!
Very nice boat for a day cruise or every day commuter.
The dovetails on the tool drawer tell you everything you need to know about the quality of the boatbuilders' work.
Fantastic boat.

Most Dutch cruisers have the steering on portside, this boat is clearly inspired by that type of boat. And lovely it is too!
Fleming 55, main helm is in the center but the flying bridge has the helm on the port side.
