The hybrids/non hybrids naturally aspirated top out at 136 and are actually pretty quick for what they are, the ecoboosts are stupid fast and top out at something like 148.
hey tk only some of them are hybrids and then the top speed is bc of the electronic limiter the hybrids can top out at 123. Get the twin turbo v6 and then it bumps up to 143
Also, alot of departments shy away from the hybrid, because if that battery gets cracked or damaged beyond repair. You damn near have to total the whole vehicle...
It is cheaper for new cars to be totaled as all the parts are going to be dedicated to building new vehicles from what I remember working at a dealership usually the first 3-10 months or 1-2 month after a special edition is released
The older ones are this one is pure trash the hybrid system is completely untested and the police department that I know many cops from had five and they're already retired without damage to the exterior but the whole hybrid system basically mechanically totaled itself
@@tomekkijak6701 Hybrids are a waste of money when buying a car new. I bought a new Highlander Hybrid. The hybrid was $5000 extra and we only get maybe 3 extra mpg. Not worth it. But, going on 4 years the hybrid system is flawless.

I mean got damn all they would have to do is pull off the damaged parts and do some repair work put some new parts on repaint the bumper and rear quarter panel and you would be good to go 👍👍. However since it's a hybrid they were probably concerned about the electric issues it might of caused. So it sounds like the department that owned the vehicle didn't want to take the risk and decided to total out the vehicle.
I doubt it was the police department that totalled the vehicle.. More than likely it was the insurance company.. Wait time on repair parts is insane on brandy new veehickles.. And the department probably just went out and bought the naturally aspirated 3.6, or twin turbo.. Obviously better than having to be one vehicle down on a small department..
I know cops and the FPIU HEV (Ford police interceptor utility hybrid electric vehicle) is shit, it's there for more then one reason it's there the hybrid system is pure trash i would personally not have anything to do with that SUV The police force that I know the most cops of had purchased five of those all five are already sent to an early retirement and to be replaced with f-150s with a gas engine purely
