Can always expand the farm , The mud allows the items to go through so you wont ever lose bamboo to it not going in the right place which helps with the amount you get.

instead of making lots of hoppers, do the minecart hopper under it so it can collect it which is better for resource as you only need 1 hopper and a minecart and rails system

it can be dirt but the hoppers wont pick the items up as mud allows it to be picked up :D

the bamboo doesn't go into the funnel, I used a block of earth on the floor of the bamboo

you need mud, not dirt. dirt is a 1 meter block (full block) and mud is smaller, similar to soul sand or chests. hoppers do not pick up items through 'full blocks' only through blocks that are smaller than the 1 meter size.

No you cant, the mud as one pixel less than the other block. So the item on it can path through.
U can make mud with dirt and water bottle. U right click we the water bottle on the dirt and it will being dirt.
U can replace the hoppers by minecart-hopper and it will take all the sugar or bamboo.
Tips: expend the farm to 15block

Probably because you think your world in in 1.21 but it might be in like 1.20

Clarify it doesn't work because I just made mine on 1.21 bedrock and it works. The only issue is the middle piece isn't going to the hopper I'm about to water bucket it .
