Thank you for taking these passages in short, but very easy, to understand lessons.

To understand "first born" we have to understand other pauls writings to know he saying as jesus christ has first and only son to share his father's glory equally.(philipness 2:1-11) so in here first born means jesus christ is not created, bu he is before any creation with God!!!

In this chapter, Paul makes it crystal clear that God is the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ ( Verse3). Then Paul says we should "Give thanks, to the Father" who has fitted Christians to share in the Kingdom" ( verse 12). Then Paul explains that "God created all things through the Son" GNB 1971 ed.( verses 15,16 'by' greek 'en' 'by means of or through) . Then in verse 19 " By God;s own choice the fullness of the divine nature ( NOT 'godhead' a mistranslation of the grrek EUDDOKEO = 'To be well pleased, to decide favourable) should dwell. Thus clearly the correct translation of the greek words Paul actually used indicate how gratefull we should be TO THE FATHER who gets all the credit for enabling Christ his son to create us, and give us the hope of everlasting life! My God the Father be praised forever, THROUGH his beloved son! Amen!

The Father and Christ are equal. Christ is uncreated.

    • @kiwihans100

@@kennyw2017 This claim is untrue! Because 'Christ is uncreated' ( which is true!) because "God created all things through him" ( Col 1:16 'The Good News bible' ) Thus Christ is excluded from 'all things. However why would the bible repeatedly say that Christ is the 'only begotten' son from the Father? ( John 1:14 Greek diaglott V1209 MSS.) Mentioned five times in the NT. Since the term 'only begotten' appears hundreds of times in the OT why would God have used this term to describe Himself? Since readers realise that a 'begotten son' means what it says a Father comes first, then he produces a son! If we truly believe scripture rather than 'church dogma' we cannot escape the conclusion that the Father 'begat' His son, who came 'out of the Father' and then the Father proceeded to create "All other things". This conclusion is confirmed by Paul at 1 Cor 8:6 where Paul in a fashion pronounces a 'creed' "As for us" he states "There is one God the Father OUT OUF whom all things are and we for Him and one Lord Jesus Christ THROUGH whom all things are and we for him". Amen! this is the truth|!

@@kiwihans100 , I would encourage you think very carefully and with an opened-mind. I sort of know how you are trained to answer these questions and this is a popular passage how JW believers are trained but it is incorrect. Jesus is not half or almost God. He is the uncreated God. Take a copy of the NIV, NKJV or ESV version and compare with your version. You will understand what i mean the text in your book has been changed. If you look at the early copies of the new testament, you will know which version is the accurate one. Just because Jesus is the only begotten Son, it does not mean He cant be God. He is both. Our logical minds may not be able to comprehend why He can be the Son and also God. Just because we cant understand this infinite God with our finite minds, it does not mean Jesus Christ is less than God. We can understand God with our logics but we cant fully comprehend Him in the logical realm. I can say more but I just want to encourage you to be neutral and ask God to reveal to you carefully. Study the text again carefully. You have been trained to think in a fixed manner but the absolute truth is Jesus is God.

@@kennyw2017 Hi Kenny! Well my friend you are wrong but sincere in two aspects. First. I am NOT a JW! I have studied their beliefs and a number of them I agree with! As for the bible! I have studied a large number of translations over the years ( I am 81 and started reading the bible at a very young age, probably before you were born!
As for translations I have many in my library. None are totally correct. The fact is that most were translated by 'orthodox' believers! I am happy to discuss say one text at a time with you. Please let me know your best 'trinity' text from your favourite bible and we can go from there. I thank you for your genuine concern!

Jesus the Firstborn of All Creation
Paul knew what he was talking about in Col 1:15. Where he says Jesus is the Firstborn of all creation. Col 1:18,Paul is not saying Jesus has preeminence or first place in everything; therefore, God says he is the Firstborn of all creation. No! Paul said he is the Firstborn of All Creation; therefore, he has preeminence. Firstborn means firstborn in all cases throughout the Bible, and each has been appropriately placed within its context and should be reviewed within its context.
    Colossians 1:18
He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He will come to have first place in everything.
Here we read Jesus is the firstborn from the dead. What Paul is saying is that Jesus is the firstborn human alive unto God. This does not say he was born again as Jesus was sinless from birth and unto death. He was alive when he died. In other words his blood was not tainted by sin. Yet Jesus died or better said he gave up his life/blood.He was still alive. This is one of the reasons Jesus shared the story about Lazarus and the rich man. When you die you will always be you, spirit soul and body. Jesus tells us exactly what happens after death. He takes all the mystery out of the life-death theories.
The secret to Col 1:15 is about the belly button. Jesus had a mother. Adam did not. Stay with me.
The first Adam did not have a belly button, but he did have life.
Genesis 2:7-8 And God formed man out of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life/blood, and man became a living soul. And God planted a garden eastward, in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
Leviticus 17:11For the life (God’s Life) of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.
As we can see, the first Adam was created and not born, thus no belly button.
God placed his life/ blood/ seed into Mary/mankind (virgin birth).
Acts 20;28 Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He (God) purchased with His own blood.
    The last Adam. (Jesus Christ)
Creation/Mankind after the fall of Adam/Creation.
Everyone after the fall of mankind/first Adam was born of sin. Separated from eternal life with God. We were not created, we were born of Adam after the fall and we were of our father, the devil. This is why we needed a new life/a new Father.
John 8:43-44 ”Why do ye not understand my speech? Even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it.”
But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our wrongdoings, made us alive together with Christ ( by grace you have been saved),
    Ephesians 2:4-5
Romans 8:15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “ Abba! Father!”
If God adopted us as our father, this would mean we had a different father before being adopted by God our Father.
(We were dying as our blood/life was tainted by sin, and we were no longer part of the living/ God’s creation/life.) My words, not the Bible.
God did not create the fall of man. Nor did God create the results thereof. The fall of man was not part of the six-day creation. But God did plan for it.
1John 3:8-10 The one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. No one who has been born of God practices sin, because His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin continually, because he has been born of God. By this, the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother and sister.
Sin is Passed on by the Father/Male
Romans 5:12-14 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned- for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.
So with that said, Jesus was the first person of all creation who was born as a human alive unto God since the first created Adam. Jesus was the only person to be Born without sin in his life/blood after the fall of Adam. Thus kJesus had a belly button as he was born of a woman/virgin birth after the fall of Adam. Jesus was the Firstborn of all creation.
The First Adam was the FIRST creation. The Last Adam was a NEW creation. The first human BORN without sin.
Now we know why Jesus had to be born of a virgin and how Jesus was created sinless.
For man does not originate from woman, but woman from man; for indeed man was not created for the woman’s sake, but woman for the man’s sake. Therefore the woman should have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. However, in the Lord, neither is woman independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as the woman originated from the man, so also the man has his birth through the woman; and all things originate from God.
    1 Corinthians 11:8-12
Gal 6:15 For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.
Both the first Adam and the last Adam had unblemished blood/life from God flowing in their veins. There are only two Adams mentioned in the Bible. The first Adam and the last Adam Jesus Christ.
    Thank you. Enjoy His Word.

@TheUnchangeableWord Jesus is God. David is called the Firstborn in Psalm 89. How? He was born last.
Firstborn in David's case and Jesus means Preeminent. Jesus is God.

I suggest you review other translations concerning Psalms 89:27 26He proclaimeth me: ‘Thou [art] my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.’
27I also first-born do appoint him, Highest of the kings of the earth.
This is God speaking about David as He says I Firstborn will appoint him Highest of the kings of the earth.
This was translated in 1830. I am sure translator had a tough time with God calling himself Firstborn.
One more comment Firstborn and Preeminence are interchangeable.
Like when the Bible calls Jesus the Firstborn born from the dead or firstborn of many brethren as well as the first of the church. The preeminence does not make sense. Jesus is call the Last Adam he is not the second Adam. Jesus is call First Man not last man. Jesus is the human to be born sinless in the history of mankind. Cain is never call the firstborn. He was born dead as he was not part of creation. He part of the fall of man/Adam. He was dead just like you and I before we were born again. Jesus came via a natural birth via the Blood of God acts 20:27-29. Jesus is Firstborn of all Creation the first human to be born without sin.

Jesus was and is uncreated. He is equal to God. He was not created like what a JW always claims. That is why the text in these few verses in their books have been edited.
