The physics in this game are really weird. Sometimes you were able to get up those high angled slops and sometimes it's impossible.

how it works is that there is a type of track terrain that just lets you stick to it
its not usually noticable but its used a lot for stuff like the first jump in bowser's castle

The reason why there are some invisible walls and weird invisible collisions is because some objects in Mario kart Wii don't scale properly, like the model could scale correctly but its collision will scale incorrectly or vice versa, or neither model nor collision scale properly
