Sluban bringing out another great set yet again! Love their sets!!
Last year I just bought this Sluban kit and is amazing.
In the Sluban kit is known as T-54 and Type 59, the little mistake is that in the instruction is indicated that the red star and the DDR decal should put together in the turret.
In the reality, GDR doesn’t purchase Chinese Type 59 tanks, the first batch of East German T-54 were come from USSR, Czechoslovakia or Poland while later GDR received T-55A from Czechoslovakia and Poland.
At the end Sluban kit is more accurate than Cobi T-54.

Love watching your videos. I have gotten into doing scale models of AFVs, and it is fun seeing the building brick models put together! I think though, that the "Laser Range Finder" in the T-55AS and T-69S are actually IR Spotlights. These were used with the Night Vision headsets that were attached to the tanks crews helmets, as they required an IR source in order to work.

Sluban is like Cobi, except they are a lot more original than other Chinese Knock off brands.

I just got this set yesterday, it's a good set but the turret's connection is really poor. Not to mention the stickers were damaged. But I received it in a full box (yes, the actual packaging) and overall it's a very nicely done tank.
You should raise the chassis T 54 by 1/3 or 2/3 block will help the system to move more stable and look more realistic (don't forget to widen the chain accordingly)

Well no cuz this one isn‘t russian
Well, firstly, the T 55 does not use a carousel-based autoloader, which one may generally consider the issue in regards to the turret 'flying'. Secondly, catastrophic ammo detonation is a side-effect of fire in the main fighting compartment most of the time, which takes aprox. 10-30 minutes after the first hit to trigger the ammo, time in which the surviving crew can bail, and usually does. (something that affects all tanks)
Now, I'm not one to defend Russia because they're kinda not cool y'know, but NATO tanks can suffer catastrophic ammo detonation all the same, even with blow-out panels, it's just that it's not as spectacular given the different ammo storage location.
