I love knockoff Lego! Some pieces they use, Lego hasn't produced. Like for example in Megablocks, you get a 2 by 2 double sided stumped piece. Meaning you can put a flat 3 by 3 with its stumps facing upwards on one side of the 2 by 2 and have the stumps of another 3 by 3 facing downwards on the other side of the 2 by 2. You can have a mirrored flat piece. Another piece which I find useful is a slanted stumped piece. I used these pieces for positioning the blades of a wind turbine at the right angle so that when I blow on the blades, the turbine spins correctly. For me, Lego or not. I don't care as long as I can build something with the pieces I have, I'm happy. The other thing I favour over knockoff lego, are the creations. Some are so basic, that it's not too expensive. Although the quality isn't too great, I still love it. For me, it's not about the brand of the creation but rather the creation itself and the techniques you used to create your creation through whatever means(pieces) possible. I learnt that you can combine that large baby lego(I forgot the name) with Lego if you ever need to. Imagine what you could make using that large baby lego and the techniques that break the laws of Lego.
