This is a genuine question. I am sorry if it comes across as a joke or rude. What did your girlfriend mean by declaring that she is (or is like) Sangomon. I do not understand. Do they share like appearances or other traits? I haven't heard similar statements before and I don't understand.. but I would like to understand!! That way if I hear something similar when I'm out and about, I know how to interpret the information and respond. Thanks!!
No worries this doesn't come across as rude at all. In this particular instance her statement was referring to an assumed personality based on the appearance of the digimon. She saw Sangomon, assumed him to be a "silly little guy" with "empty head and no thoughts" and decided that this was a reflection of herself (in an exaggerated joking kind of way.). This expression would be similar to if a person who likes to sleep a lot saw a hibernating bear and said "that's me", they're just attributing the bear to themselves because of a shared trait. Hope this helps!
Fish pile right now is so flexible. A friend and I I have been theorycrafting multiple versions of the deck: Board-Base Control, a more aggressive variant running Minami, and an OTK variant focusing on the new Xiangpeng. I don’t know why Bandai has been giving so much fish support lately, but I hope it keeps on coming.
For the OTK route I can definitely see new Xiangpeng doing work. My only concern is with blast digivolution does that kind of put a damper on your strategy.
This deck's a lot of fun and I'm glad someone's talking about it! I've found the new Lanamon really helpful, as well as the unsuspend inherit Huankun (EX6, I think?). Huankun especially helps you go wide just by bringing it out with Xiangpeng and Lanamon can fulfill that need for floodgate removal decently, even if it's not permanent. I've also been fooling around with Sourai and the tribal removal spell Wadatsumi Purification, since it's searchable. I don't know how I feel about them. I also slotted Ryugu into Mirage the other day for locals. Card feels really good there, too. My one issue with the deck's design is the separation of sea animal and sea beast. I would love to be able to play Goma X in this but alas the TCG follows the game's ~lore~ or something.
I haven't explored much with the blue hybrid stuff yet but I'm definitely curious to see how it works. I briefly read over Lanamon and thought... oh another tuck.
@DIGI-PANDA The tuck can be really good in the pinch, though. Because you can slot your target under Xiangpengmon to activate his effect. Beyond that, you can just add to card to hand as a search as well. The other applications for Lanamon is a good way to bounce lvl 3s with the inherit as well as the classic Hybrid for game
Been gifted Ryugumon on sunday. Monday I thought "lets cook something with this slushy boi". On thuesday we win his first local tournament. Im so happy and in love i shopped all the AAs, something i never did before
If you want to build this deck well, there's a Document out there from thr Fish Soup thread in the 2020 Digimon Discord that goes over ALL the aquatic cards, their pros/cons, and best uses. In that sense, while EX7 Xiangpengmon is *better*, BT19 is also suuuuper good if you have Ryugu as your support boss. Promo Seadramon just isn't necessary anymore. But also, this deck is hugely flexible being able to go tribal/hybrid/etc.
I'll definitely check the document out! I don't like to peruse too many documents or other videos because I feel it creates a sense of a bias. In match ups though I did show another player the build and they mentioned how Puyoyomon absolutely destroys Hybrid.
@DIGI-PANDA ooh yeah Puyumon definitely has some good use cases. Definitely will build a version of the deck with them sometime, depending on which decks are at locals this cycle.
Im putting together a deck like this with a buddy, we also thought of Aegisdramon as a good one for it. MirageBurst was also another consideration for the top end, as some clever plays lets it attack multiple times. There are definitely some that we didn't consider that you did, we will have to see if those can be a good fit too.
You can definitely incorporate this engine too! It just changes things up in regards to build. I think this leans more towards an aggro and less control.
You can run it! I opted not to because it's a Sea Beast, not Sea Animal. Instead I went with Megaseadramon who if he's plopped out I can engulf one of my level 6's and then bounce something to the bottom.
I am contractually obligated to build this deck because my girlfriend saw sangomon and said "Oh that's me"
Doooo it! It's super fun.

Okie but my partner legit did the same thing with ryugu lol
@@TeamDeathSlingerTCG i said the exact thing and I'm not your girlfriend.. i guess.

not to mention lanamon is another form of level 3 removal with its inheritable

Really nice! I love the artwork for this Digimon and I love the line.

Where do I find the thread of fish soup I can’t find it for some reason :(
@@mrph4nt0m69 It's on the Digimon TCG 2020 Discord
I just finished my build for this last night. Looking forward to tips and techs
I hope some of these techs or other options for the deck are helpful! But most of all, have fun with it!

Report back if you find something that you really enjoyed! This list isn't perfect and there's a lot of different card interactions out there.
Zudo is a good card to run in fish control, especially Ryugu-centric lists, and why no EX6 Huankun?
For sure! I didn't personally run it because the Digimon itself is a Sea Beast versus Sea Animal which means it can't be searched.
I think initial I didn't see how power Ryugumon can be until this. This deck will be annoying against my purple decks.
Bro i literally just though of building this deck...
You read my mind or something?
Naaaaaaaaah. Great minds think alike :3
I was SO close to building this too T_T
You can still build it!
@@DIGI-PANDA But I'd want to alt art it, the art is GORGEOUS
Would the labramon (bt-17), seasarmon (bt-17), and minami tamer Combo still be viable in this deck?
You can definitely incorporate this engine too! It just changes things up in regards to build. I think this leans more towards an aggro and less control.
No zudomon ace?
