I'm about to tie your zoo cougar (2018) and I was looking for recent videos so I could thank you. It has been said you talk too much. NOT TRUE I have learned SOOOO much from you (I've been tying for about 17 yrs now) I cannot thank you enough. Keep on talking Kelly......
Thanks for posting this Kelly. I tied up a few to fish on the Au Sable in Michigan. This is a great fly! I Tried a Trico spinner and no deal. I put this on and bingo! Last time I was out there was a very light hatch, but the fish were going crazy for this fly. I'm probably done fishing for the year, but I will only be fishing this pattern for the Trico hatch next year!
Hi Kelly; well I tried it .I tied 4 #18's and 4#20's and I'll be honest with you I struggled with the EP fibres when I brought them back over the tiny bump of super fine dubbing .I mean I really struggled tying it down I even used a little wax on my thread. However, after 4 of the 8 I started to get the hang of it and finished off the other 4 a little more easier. Can't wait to try them. thanx Kelly.PS . The zoo cougars turned out excellent ,made 4 0f them.I'm almost out of wood duck mallard that big and I tried all the stores in Calgary,Alberta Canada with no luck. There really to find.
It looks like a great fly, and simple to tye. Could you tell if you fish it alone or in tandem. And the line you use 0.12 mm (6X) or 0.10 (7x). Thanks for your great videos!

Thanks Kelly. The Kiwi trout love this pattern! Your channel is very much appreciated down-under in NZ.
Great fly Kelly. This fly will fish during and after the spinner fall for sure!
I love fishing the Trico spinner fall, so I'll be adding this one to my box. Thanks Kelly.
Definitely adding some of these to the fly box! Great video!

Tandem size 20 and down sounds miserable tbh, I've heard of people fishing double trico rigs but it seems like a ton of work
I could use some of these, but too lazy to tie. Do you sell them on your website?
Hy hy Kelly, do you think this 1 would work tied on a scud hook???
just to show the fish something different.
Absolutely!
Yeah I would hotspot it though so you could see it a little lower in the column
I don't believe it, a kelly galloup tying video under 10 minutes?
The worst kind. The longer ones are 100x better lol
