Good show this morning. It is like watching a surgeon at work.
It was good to see a fine older mower like that brought back to life!
It must have been expensive when it was new.
I cut about 1/4" off each end of a Toro Atomic blade to make it fit the underside of a deck. Used a cut-off wheel on my angle grinder. Even though blades are very hard steel, it cut easily & clean. Re-balanced the blade (didn't require much material removal) & it worked fine.
Good job Jeremy, it lives to mow another day. 👍
Good job God bless you all amen
Cool old mower but boy it looks so goofy with that backwards new engine.I would put another older 3.5 HP Briggs and Stratton on that deck they are everywhere
several years ago we replaced the Briggs engine with a predator engine the original engine had a throttle and was self propelled I didn't need the brake on the engine I took it off and moved the kill switch to the throttle connection on the engine and used the throttle to kill the engine like they for years before the break lever was used
Nice 😊
I think Sensation was made in Ralston Nebraska.
Couldn’t you get a die and extend the bolt threads?
😀👍Install a captured cable (like a throttle cable) to operate the brake and the kill wire at the same time.
I had one of those but it had an obsolete Honda engine that you couldn’t get parts for and the worst thing was the deck had 4 large cracks that needed welding so between those two issues I took it to the scrap yard. Cool mower but mine was too far gone.
Iooks like its for a cemetery with the rear discharge
Good job ... Ready for David Brown?
Yessir
easy to make square nuts
Make a video and post it here
Jeremy....great video as always. Nice save for the vintage machine. What model is your Milwaukee impact? Will it cover most things from lug nuts to shop repairs? Thanks again 👍
I take that mower it's a good quality
Just doesn’t make any since to clean top of deck for engine and leave bottom all dirty. Going to to all that work make it PURDY!
Medic fur the win
I just put more threads on bolt and call it good I have had to do it a few times
I stated in the video that that was an option, but thank you for repeating what I said
Just lower the wheels a tad!
Do you have a fastnal store near you they might have the hardware for your help with this mower
Yes, and no, it’s a distribution center and they don’t sell to the public
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1Yes, that's my frustration with a Fastenal dist. cntr. in a nearby big metro area where I live. When I was working nearby them & in company uniform, they'd help me no problem. Once retired, they scowled & growled at me, sheesh! Luckily I found a fastenal store 15 miles away in a small town for really odd fasteners, but there are 4 hardware stores within 6 miles of my home, so I haven't needed fastenal yet.
Great repower show!
It was interesting how well the Predator was engineered & packaged to fit even an old-school engine platform without drilling! Someone did their homework on that! Thanks MM1, & may God bless you with improving great health! Paul from S. Central Tx.
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 okay thanks for the info on this matter
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1Fun Predator Repower show today Jeremy! It's got more beans (5.5 hp right?) than the B&S too.
I was impressed at how well the engineers designed the bolt hole pattern to retrofit the old deck. Someone did their homework, right?
As to the big name fastener wholesale outlet closed to the public, I was frustrated by yhat too. While employeed, a fasenall wholesale outlet was nearby my work & we did big business there. In uniform, I could shop there & buy name brand tools, no problem. Once retired, I returned there & they snapped & snarled at me to get out, they don't sell to the public! Well, whoop-de-doo! I found that brand of retail store 15 miles away (for odd fasteners) in a small town, & 4 hardware stores within 6 miles of the house.
Great show MM1 & God bless you with better health & energy Sir ! Paul from S. Central Tx.
I couldn't justify spending the money. I have tons of old mowers in need of repair or restoration. But the cost would exceed, what I could sell them for. Parting them out isn't even much of an option. Few people have them & it just isn't worth my time.
It depends on how you look at it if I put $200 in this old mower and got it running perfectly it would be 10 times the mower “ in quality” that you could buy today for $200. If you can find them that cheap. a new $350 mower is absolute garbage.
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 I agree, but finding that one person willing to spend that much. It is few & far between. There are better options. My self if I'm spending that kind of money on a push mower. It better be self-propelled. I found the majority of people, only what to spend $50. On a used push mower. I can't buy parts that cheap.
@WherestheKaboom-g2p I guess it depends on the region where you live used push mowers go for $100-$150 here all day long I sold a Honda RX 217 for 250 just the other day
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 I live in Michigan. In my area, everyone works on lawn mowers. They're a dime a dozen.
