- I thought I would share my attempt at translating every cutscene in Puyo Puyo Tsu. Just remember that I tried my hardest to make these translations as accurate to the modern Puyo Puyo games as possible.
Also, in case you're wondering, I recreated the Puyo Puyo Tsu intro using sprites from the Genesis port of the game, images of the characters' modern design, and custom animations on high-quality traced versions of Arle, Carbuncle, and red Puyo. These were all animated with Adobe Animate.
And just for fun, I added the Sega intro alongside the Compile intro since both those companies were once partners in making the Puyo Puyo games.
Anyway, this is the first part of my attempt, which showcases the translated cutscenes featured in the game's Practice and Normal Modes.

Arle is fun because her character is one of two extremes: either sassy as hell or "no thoughts, head empty" and you can never tell which one she is until she talks.
"Which one should I battle?"
"Pick me, meow!!"
"Which one, meow? :("
"Meow, meow, meow :D"

Young Arle has the cutest voice
That was Minako Ozawa for ya. Even compared to Mie Sonozaki, her voice for Arle was the most child like she'd ever sounded.
Contrast to Mami Inoue's Saturn voice, and you'll note that she sounds SIGNIFICANTLY more adult-like. This may have been why she was replaced.
Why didn’t anyone think of translating Nasu Grave’s name into “Auber Genie”?

Yep. I mean, she does think Incubus is handsome too, but not as much as Dark Prince (Satan's localized name) or Schezo.

Hello, could you share these Manzai/Cutscenes, without the subtitles? There is no video on TH-cam that has them all compiled in at least one video, and your translation includes all of them. I need them for a Spanish translation i'm working on. I hope we can get in touch.

This is the PlayStation 1 version. I think you’re looking for the PC Engine CD version of this game.
