  • As I have gotten older I have I’ve grown tired of yelling the kids name so I started calling Malachi on his cell phone to come downstairs but I needed a better system to include Addison. Sometimes they try and act like they don’t hear me and now they have no excuse!

One such time was when I was going out with one of them. his room was on the second floor, I was too lazy to go up the stairs, so shouted his name several times. no reply. I got impatient and shouted, "Hey a**hole"... reply from his brother who was in the other room, "yes, mom??". Me, "not you, your brother" lol

As someone who’s sensitive to yelling and hates being yelled at with a passion, this seems amazing. I think people who’re trying to push you into not having it or making it into a joke are just trying to look for bad things when the main thing about it is positive.

I also programmed a family bell schedule to help wake them up and let them know when it's time to get ready for bed. It's very handy since they're middle and elementary school ages on two different schedules. Need to add one to the garage in the hubby's drum room.
