      @@GabrielBergman95 I've been trying to get this right for 30 years.
      When I first heard this, I thought you were leaving a couple notes off the end of the first two riffs, but when I started playing it while singing, it all fit like a glove.

    Amazing video! @ 8:52 could you do a video on what you’re playing after this point? I’ve tried to slow it down and notate it myself but holy crap I just can’t keep up! Plus you’re very good at braking it down to digestible chunks

    I had to repeat some parts bc i don’t practice my music terms and chord names enough where it’s glued to the back of my head(and I should since I’ve been playing for years), but overall you’ve taught me some stuff so thank you 🙏🏻

    Sooo good. This might have to be saved and re-visited a couple times to get it. "Crippled but free, I was blind all the time I was learning to see."

    Nice work, thank you for explaining the theory opposed to just calling out fret numbers, helps me very much especially with Jerry, the triad man.
    It's also nice to know there are some younger talented people like you that still appreciate this stuff.

      Same here! I’m like little by little starting to understand theory, and to hear someone explain it on a song I know so well goes such a long way

    Great tone with the SS, and love "the whip". Been working on this one for a bit, as I had to pick one of the more advanced songs to learn. Lol.

    This little riff has been a pain in the ass to learn. But man I love it.
    I know, from watching your videos you love dead and co, but man you need to catch a Phil lesh and friends show. Eugene’s help is on the way, slipknot, to dark star to unbroken back to help is on the way was another level man. Thank you for these videos!!

    Love how u talk about the chords happening and why these parts work. 👍 Helps me a lot think about the chord tones and triads happening.

    Awesome video, It’s amazing how you can just name what note is a fifth or a third in a chord right off the top of your head. Takes me a little more thought to put the names to it. But great video I like how you keep the video concise to move at your own pace , I can’t stand when some tutorials are just too long I get for beginners it’s helpful but I like just rewinding and slowing down until I get something 👍🏻👍🏻

    Hey Gabe, I am loving all of these videos! Your tone on the PRS is just perfect, what are you playing through? I have a Thick Air Boost and a steel string singer and wondering what kind of setup you have for this tone. The steel string singer is literally unbelievable but i'm a way off from this. Also learning a ton from your playing, love that you do this, keep it up and hope to see you out there one of these days shredding it up

      @@GabrielBergman95 how do you also like the Silver Sky? I’m playing an EJ tropical turquoise strat and I’ve always wanted to try the PRS, it sounds awesome. I’m also getting Mr DeLuis to make me a stripped down wolf without the OBEL. Do you think having it makes a large difference in tone because it already has the built in buffer so I figure you get close

    • @GabrielBergman95
      @GabrielBergman95  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hbhcapital52 i LOVE the silver sky, maybe more than a strat. But the SS and Strat are different guitars. The built buffer is great, it'll drive the rig a bit more, and thats kind of a key sound in the Garcia Rig! Greg is the man!

    Key of Fm? It's in the key of Eb and played in Fm dorian. You attend Berkley?

    • @GabrielBergman95
      @GabrielBergman95  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Eb major and F dorian are the same scale. Just starting on a different degree!
      Eb, F, G, Ab, Bb, C, D, Eb. The D natural is the Maj7 in Eb and the Maj6 (dorian note) in Fminor.

    • @dustylense
      @dustylense 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GabrielBergman95 All western music is based off the major scale. Ya see, when you say Key of Fm, is that the 3rd degree or 6th degree? Because they differ. Where as if you say Fm Dorian, a schooled musician will understand right of the bat. "hey were gonna play this jam in the key of Fm". Well, if one guy plays as Fm Aeolian, your jam be fucked. The song is in the key of Eb played in the 2nd degree. If you said Fm dorian, a good musician will know every chord and where his 6ths lie.

    • @dustylense
      @dustylense 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GabrielBergman95 Which is why when Jerry starts the first solo, you hear that slide from Eb to F. That spells Dorian and the key of Eb.
