I just love the fact that goku didnt actually beat jiren. If you ask me its perfect set up for a rematch. Plus its just. Awesome to see a character that can legitimately beat him im a fight. If jiren ever comes back into the story, he could bring real tension. and lets face it, dragon ball could use some nowadays

But... this music, made to represent a fictional character, I've been listening to regularly for a couple days now- Falkonne is just that good of a musician, when it comes to covering ost's. But Jiren's symbolism, of unstoppable force, red aura, a presence that commands fear, even overall looks- somewhat reminds me of a real person, or rather his youtube persona. That someone is Technoblade, a minecraft youtuber. He passed away recently. But to the end of my life, I'll admire him for remaining the same person regardless of success, and genuinely caring for his community as well as humanity overall. Back to what I was saying, was it fate that this is the music cover I got interrested in at the same time he was dying? I don't think so, but I'd like to think so.
Dragon Ball Super writers never quite understood the rule of "Show, don't tell." Otherwise Jiren could have been an interesting character with a tragic backstory that people are invested in rather than this strong guy for Goku to fight. Great music though, THAT is fitting at least.

Neither were the villain. They were both self absorbed and wanted to be the only alpha in the room. So they fight and in the end Jiren was the one left alone to stand against an onslaught and that triggers his trauma as a child and pushed him into a primal defense. So I can see why someone would call him a villain but I agree he wasn’t. Topo on the other hand 🤔

Jiren as powerful as he is really should have just mopped up the whole tournament and chastised everyone, Zeno included, for instigating and partaking in such a sick ass thing to begin with. I don't see Topo as a villain, more just not far off from how Frieza criticized him for being full of shit and not really the hero pretends to be. Get under his skin once and all of a sudden all that good talk about justice gets tossed out. To be honest I just have too many problems with that arc and Jiren is not one of them. It just bugs me that he catches all the flack when you have an even more retarded version of Doc M from Baby Watchmen running around running the multiverse.
