SAFER Sephiroth’s Super Nova attack still holds the record for the longest attack animation ever, at 2 minutes, 16 seconds, from the attack card to the final damage readout. That being said, I would LOVE to see Square crank this attack up to 11 and make it even LONGER, maybe push it to three minutes.
Sephiroth. One of the most bad ass villians ever! Loved his theme and his moveset in ff dissidia for psp was incredible. One second hes up in your face and even a sharingan can keep track of and weave thro his sword play up close, next hes 10 feet away from you STILL cutting yo ass to ribbons!

I realized something. Sephiroth is latin for anger. When you think about it, it makes sense. Sephiroth is pissed off at the way he was created, and has a special place in his own hell for Shinra and the likes of it.
There was once this kid I knew, and we were great friend sin our youth. We endured our toxic environment, and I was the first to break free of it. I spent time in my newfound freedom, finally being able to reach my true potential and push the limit of my limit. Then, he returned. He was no different from how I once knew him, but that was exactly the issue. We had grown so different in so little time, I wished he were somewhere else so that I wouldn’t have to revolt at his everyday ignorances and cruelties. Eventually it came to a boil not long back, and I was forced away from the happy environment I once had. I could still see and talk to the people I befriended, but now I was the one looking in. I feel as though I have lost my strength, that I had lost my way. I cannot give up on my dreams yet however. I wish he would stay just a memory to me, but his physical presence in my life forces attention to himself, so that he will never again remain a memory.

When you think about it, it makes sense. Sephiroth is pissed off at the way he was created, and has a special place in his own hell for Shinra and the likes of it.
Sephiroth means Tree/unknown or special tree of life.
There was once this kid I knew, and we were great friend sin our youth. We endured our toxic environment, and I was the first to break free of it.
I spent time in my newfound freedom, finally being able to reach my true potential and push the limit of my limit.
Then, he returned. He was no different from how I once knew him, but that was exactly the issue. We had grown so different in so little time, I wished he were somewhere else so that I wouldn’t have to revolt at his everyday ignorances and cruelties.
Eventually it came to a boil not long back, and I was forced away from the happy environment I once had. I could still see and talk to the people I befriended, but now I was the one looking in.
I feel as though I have lost my strength, that I had lost my way. I cannot give up on my dreams yet however.
I wish he would stay just a memory to me, but his physical presence in my life forces attention to himself, so that he will never again remain a memory.

If you listen closely to the line "Veni, veni, venias, ne me mori facias" (Veiny veiny veiny-as, ne me moori fascia-s) in the original, it is pronounced, instead, "wein-y wein-y wein-y-as, ne me mori fa-chi-as."
This isn't an invalid pronunciation, both are valid (I prefer ecclesiastical because I learned using modern romance languages, and also because I have a love of the Latin Mass), but the original is Ecclesiastical, which mirrors Sephiroth's god complex and heavy symbolism in the Kabbalah and in Christian tradition. The Classical version, however, shows an older, more "perverse" form of Latin, the language of daily use. It emphasizes Sephiroth's unhinged nature and hatred of the system that he feels trapped in. It is also the language that Cicero and the like would have written in and been meant to be recited in. It's about breaking systems, then, and how very done with things he is.
In short, I hate that it doesn't fit. But I love that it doesn't fit even more. Love and hate, a duality only capable in insanity, the insanity that Sephiroth has.

Eight foot katana that's near unbreakable, can fight faster than light with multiple enemies, the most insane healing in any video game, attack that can destroy moons with ease that's in an entirely different dimension which isn't noticable until he's either bored or fed up with the fight, gorgeous silky three and a half foot long hair, what's not to love about the godliness of the most fearsome foe in all of final fantasy
