We saw Vince years ago just playing with the band. No star trip. Just playing in the background when he could have been out front. He was the biggest star there.

Just bought Dailey and Vincent's "Brothers of the Highway" album about a month ago and fell in love with this song. I had NO idea I would find this video with Vince on TH-cam. The first time I heard this song, I couldn't help but shed a tear. Such a beautiful song and this video does it absolute justice. So much talent on one stage. Thank you nashvillehigh for posting!
I think that's a look of respect for what they're sharing on stage. Those guys are some of the most talented and humble folks you'll meet.
Vince Gill is a true American treasure & great song writer & musician! Jamie Dailey & Darren Vincent along with their fine musical group are wonderful performers and all of these people are Christians which I think makes them very special! God Bless them all! Semper Fi, jerry in TX :)

I've often thought "if I could be someone else, who would I want to be?" And the answer is always "Vince Gill". Tall, good-looking, great voice, great songwriter, great musician, nice, genuine, humble, rich, famous wife, and not only that, a scratch golfer to boot. His voice blends so well with Dailey & Vincent. Well, his voice blends well with just about anyone.

It is great information to hear that Vince Gill is a Christian! He surety is a great entertainer. I have been a fan of his for a long time. From bluegrass to country, he does a good job, and he can play a pretty mean guitar too!

This was probably taken on a phone with zoom on max, not exactly professional hardware. I'm thankful for the person who recorded and posted it so that we all could see this memorable performance.

It is easy to critisize a person when you don't know the person's habit or what makes him comfortable to to sing. When he performed in New York as a special guest to sing one of the Beach Boy's song "The Warmth of The Sun", he also had a hands in the pocket. It was a huge theater with the roomful of critics, he did a beautiful job. I think it makes him comfortable to do the best job by putting his hands in the pocket when he does not have a guitar. I believe Kenny Scott's comment shows that he understood Vince on that stage. Vince is a very humble man.
This must have been a couple months before he had a show with Sting for Crossroads in New York which was awesome. He has been everywhere. He is so versatile and his talent and humanity shine. Let's not worry about little nothing.
Besides, who care if he has his hands in his pockets? Sheesh.

for ed oso ib 2013 & any other critics of vince gill,you all do as good as vince & as much then you can talk! i see NOTHING wrong with what he is doing!! how many could get up in front of hundreds of people to perform & it was last minute request seems like so he didnt have tux on as rest did. and no guitar. didnt see ANYTHING unprofressional. Most performers are probably nervous at times regardless how long they have performed or relaxed they usually are. i think it was GREAT entertainmemt & ALL the musicians did wonderful! LOVE VINCE GILL,DARREN VINCENT!!

Rhonda is a star on her own - Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, a wonderful group! Her brother Darrin is half of Dailey and Vincent, a wonderful duet talent also with a show on RFD Saturday evenings.. Both are famous in their own right, but only sing together on occasion, not as a usual thing. They are part of the Vincent family who have the Sally Mountain Jamboree every summer in Missouri, and there the family sings together. They are all so talented!!!

Vince is wonderful but you Dailey have the better voice.
Vince may have written the song and may have a good voice. But, IMO, his voice is not nearly as outstanding as Jamie's. Jamie Dailey has one of the best voices in the business. I could listen to it all day long (and frequently do).
In pure Bluegrass, you are correct. Vince may cross over from pure holler country to plain country music better....lol.
