- This video features highballin Z trains on the BNSF Panhandle Subdivision (Southern Transcon) across the Texas panhandle segment during the first few months of the year 2022. All trains featured are seen going speeds from 60-70 MPH.
Enjoy!
Hearing them all screaming sent shivers down my spine! Very nice video
Seeing that solid spine piggyback train with no double stack cars really brought back some memories.
Kick ass! I can feel the vibes!
Love fast trains Love video thanks for sharing Have a safe night 🌙
Wow , if you like fast , high powered trains , this is the video for you !! How is it that BNSF doesn't spread the power throughout the trains ?? Statistics prove that a considerable amount could be gained by doing so in both fuel savings and overall train control . Terrific video . Your new fans in the Great White North 🇨🇦
Many of our trains do have DP. It depends on train length, tonnage, and territory requirements. We try to avoid it when possible with short trains because DP trains take more time to build than conventional trains.
What a great place to catch high speed trains. Texas and Oklahoma are my favorite spots.
These are sure fast intermodals! Great shots
Awesome video you got! Love seeing these trains hauling, especially the spines! 😀
I like how these trains just fly through the snow and you see it rise up off the ground
Got to love hearing those Screaming GEVOs
Yup! GEVOs are great especially at trackspeed
Hell yea. Nothing beats a GEVO screaming at 70 MPH
0:53 Jesus, it really is from "A to Z" 😜
Great catch
Amazing video, I really enjoyed. I will say, though, there certainly isn't any shortage of GEVOs on the BNSF.
Those are some beautiful trains.
Needs more views, great work
Love the video. Fast freight trains.
I love trains in desert landscape!
Attractive video ❤️❤️
love this locomotive with 4 unit combined locomotive
28:09 I just love this K5LLA
I prefer the K5HL.
Lindas essas composições. Na neve fica mais lindo ainda . Aqui no Brasil os trens não carrega reboques de caminhões. Parabéns 🇧🇷
I didn't know that BNSF drivers knew how to put the accelerator down lol
Engineer Andrew you must be a limey like me😂
Well apparently they do. They are f*king flying😳
all depends on traffic control ...they govern speeds
12:03 - insane. That has to be 2 trains.
Это писец 6 локомотивов тянут более 360 вагонов ну это так на взгляд русского железнодорожника. Молодцы 🤩
Долго считал?))
29:20 "CAUTION HY-RAIL VEHICLES LIFT FROG". Does BNSF have giant mutant frogs to move trucks around?
It's a warning for HY-RAIL vehicles that the frog is designed to lift wheels over the rail rather than a more complex flange slot design.
love those K5HL's and K3LA's
same
Definitely the K5HL is my fav. It’s a shame they don’t have em on passenger trains.
What did the engineer say at about 14:45?
Awesome video
Where is that location? I would love to watch there.
Tx panhandle...white deer, panhandle, pampa
Great Catch
Thanks!
Great video!
Thanks!
I just love the noise those trains are hauling ass I say 60+Mph Way to go open throttle
Atchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe, "the route of the warbonnet's" ( and don't forget it)👍
Never will. I’ve been treated to some warbonnet visitors lately but not the same with the faded colors and Bnsf Patch.
@@southplainsrailfan8697 well its not the same with the faded paint and patching. But when you see them scorch the iron lashed up together it still gives me a thrill👍 scale trains has for sale faded, weathered santa fe warbonnets for sale, never thought about buying a faded patched unit until i saw scale train models, they did a SUPERB job on them i believe they already sold out
wow nice video i love bnsf horns
Good old K5HL horns. Too bad you don’t hear them on Amtrak trains.
Train jump that track it’s going be all hell to pay out there
I don't know anything about the operations of trains. So I have a couple of questions. When 4 or 5 locomotives are pulling 200+ freight cars, are all of the locomotives running? Question 2: what's a **DPU**
Distributed Power Unit. Not all of the units are running some are on but idling . on Z-Trains about 3-4 usually are on at most depending on the load
@@Scorges1At most we can and often do have 5 or 6 locomotives on the head end as long as they don't exceed 48 rated powered axles. 3 or 4 is common on level territories though, as there's no need for that much horsepower
The Z Trains are zooming woooooooo
Surprised by all the head end power. Would think there would be some pushers or a few DPU's
Okay so next time I'll watch the WHOLE VIDEO before commenting
😀
On level grades there's usually no need to use DP. Every territory in the timetable has different requirements for it.
Wow love BNSF.
Amazing brute power.

THE FIRST ONE WAS QUICK!
Seems to me the EBs are going faster than the WBs.
I’m surprised there weren’t any Port Stack trains that you caught
Awesome video! I enjoyed every second of it! what camera do you use?
Thanks! I will have another release of this compilation series early this summer. I use Sony Handycam AX-53
whats the name of the horn at 14:58?
2nd gen k5hl
What did the switcher train engineer tell you?
Probably that he was trespassing on railroad property.
Nice bro.
What state are you in
Awesome video of the BNSF freight trains, what part of Texas was this video shot at?
It’s in the panhandle subdivision so I’d probably say that’s west Texas. Maybe just north of Lubbock.
One shot has the depot in Pampa. I grew up there. The trains fly west of there on the way to Amarillo. Double track all the way.
@scottgrayson1209 ....grew up in wheeler. I like watching them fly thru white deer and panhandle. Paced one early one morning doing 85.
It's a damn shame anytime freight trains move twice the speed of Uncle's passenger sets
You gotta come check out the trains in the northeast man, those things can go super fast than any freights in America.
Dale duro trenecito!!!!!
Пойыз рақмет жаным ❤
Four locomotives? In that case bring back steam power
I would be made about that NS power 😂
