Namaste. I’ve been asked this question before. I don’t have a specific answer that will satisfy you. Spirituality is something personal and it can be found in many religions or non-religions. But in general I can say that the American culture revolves more around material achievements and external focus rather than spiritual growth and freedom. There seems to be a general lack of understanding about what spirituality is and the value of seeking freedom. People don’t even see themselves as candidates for freedom and self-realization. How do Americans see Hinduism? Most likely as a distant, mystical and complex system, but we would have to do a poll to know for sure.
Guru Brahma - Guru is Brahma, who is the Lord of Creation, also called as Generator, Guru Vishnu means Guru is Vishnu (Vishnu is the Lord who is called organizer), Guru Devo Maheshwarah means Guru is the Maheshwara (Shiva or the destroyer), Guru Sakshat Parabrahma means Parbrahma viz. the supreme god or almighty. Since Guru leads to a path of light, Guru is that Para Brahma. 🕉
Life is my first Guru. I was initiated by a Himalayan mystic from the lineage of Shree Swami Samarth. She is my spiritual teacher in India who trained me in Cosmic Intelligence Meditation evolutionary path. I’m also very close to Swami Vivekananda as my Guru in spirit 🙏❤️🌅🚩
