[4K] Raj's Shop Tour in the World of David Walliams at Alton Towers, join us for an exciting look at all of the World of David Walliams Merchandise at Alton Towers from the immersive world of this beloved children's book author.
Mr Raj is a newsagents shop owner seen in many of David Walliams's books selling items with bizarre offers such as Used Tissues and Buy One Get None Free.
Raj's Shop serves as the exit to Gangsta Granny: The Ride just after the on ride photo viewing area.
Raj's Shop is recreated here in the World of David Walliams and sells assorted Merchandise including Gangsta Granny clothing, cups, pin badges, bags games as well as David Walliams books. Raj's Shop also sells sweets, drinks and snacks.
The World of David Walliams is a themed area at Alton Towers Resort in Staffordshire, England. It opened on the 17th of May 2021 and is based on popular children's books by author David Walliams. The area is designed to bring the characters and stories to life in an immersive and interactive way, with a variety of attractions and experiences.
One of the main attractions in the World of David Walliams is Gangsta Granny: The Ride, a family-friendly dark ride that takes guests on a journey through the sewers and streets of London with Granny and her grandson Ben.
Besides Gangsta Granny: The Ride, attractions include Raj's Bouncy Bottom Burp (previously Frog Hopper), Royal Carousel (previously Galloper's Carousel) as well as Flavio’s Fabulous Fandango and Raj's Shop
There is an attraction further down known as Cuckoo Cars Driving School which although is located next to the Gangsta Granny ride and is accessible from the World of David Walliams, it is technically in The Towers area.
The area has had various names over the years including Cloud Cuckoo Land, Cred Street and The Land of Make Believe. The area was first built as Talbot Street in 1981, becoming the park's first themed area, home to the Around The World in 80 Days and Doom & Sons dark rides.
Alton Towers Resort is a world-renowned theme park and resort located in the heart of Staffordshire, England. With over 40 rides and attractions, including 10 thrilling roller coasters, Alton Towers offers something for everyone, from families with young children to adrenaline-seeking thrill-seekers.
The park is situated on an estate that spans over 800 acres and features many themed areas, including CBeebies Land, Forbidden Valley, X-Sector, World of David Walliams, and the iconic Towers Street. Each area is uniquely designed and offers its own set of attractions and experiences. One of the most popular attractions at Alton Towers is the Wicker Man roller coaster, which opened in 2018 and is the UK's first wooden roller coaster to be built in over 20 years.

They have people working there but they all say Raj's Assistant. I'm not sure if they have ever had Raj, possibly on opening day, they usually have a lot more characters for that
