One of the best-selling cars of all time, the Toyota Corolla has a reputation for excellent reliability. At the same time, it has recently broken out of its plain-jane shell to offer sports and appearance trims that give the venerable model new zest. It's also a beneficiary of Toyota's efforts to provide standard driver-assist systems. For the 2022 model, the Corolla is available as a four-door sedan or four-door hatchback. Last year a small crossover, the Corolla Cross, adopted the Corolla name, but that is reviewed separately. The sedan offers two gasoline engine choices plus a hybrid version. One of the smallest vehicles in the Toyota lineup, the Corolla fits above the hybrid-only Toyota Prius and below the midsize Toyota Camry. It competes head-to-head with the Nissan Sentra, Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, and several other models in one of the industry's largest segments.

I got my 2017 Corolla LE for 16k with 30k miles had it for 2 years, added 110k miles
And the trade is is currently at 13k
Haha I’m trading it in for the 2022 SE hatchback manual. A car I’ve been watching for around 1 year.
It will finish around 26k, I gave Corolla 1k to order the car and will give my credit union 2k so my monthly price will be around 350$. Only a $100 difference.

I know a fellow who owns a GM dealership and a Hyundai dealership. He has told me to avoid EVs. Reasons? Too expensive. Replacement batteries cost a ton. Energy is not adequate to "fuel" up often enough. Charging your battery is 4 - 5 times more expensive than gassing up. Hybrids, he said, are fine but AVOID EVs.

@@DS..69 when petrol is 1.90 per liter and diesel is 1.80 per liter (where i live in Europe) and a diesel car would be around 38.000 € with a warranty of 6 years max, a Toyota hybrid its around 30.000 € with 10 years warranty ( a diesel would do 5liters per 100km, the hybrid will do around 4 liters per 100km) a fully eletric or a plug in would cost 50.000 € or more🤔, you're the one semi intelligent if you cant do the maths 🤔, as i have to diesel cars that do from 5.5L to 8L dependind of the daily use, and having an M5e39 that does around 13 liters per 100km just cruising, i guess its a huge improvement considering the price of the gas and gas mileage, around 80Km a day, i really believe youre not living in Europe, other wise you would know how to count 👍, i really think getting an 1.8 hybrid its a great purchase.

Great video. I wish they would offer a mid-performance version with the 2.5 base engine from the Camry in a manual transmission. It would be right below the GR Corolla and could be a successor to the extinct Scion TC.

    • @Notadrianmonroy

Some prefer the look of the Corolla and the smaller size. Also, long term wise, the naturally aspirated engine and D4S port and direct injection make the engine way less prone to carbon buildup in the Toyota.
