I think they put that turbo for reliability. I think that turbo is just perfect for it maybe add some other mods like bigger intercooler and injectors like you said. That hks is old school and unique 😅
Will you do a video on some maintenance (rust treatment etc) for the loader truck? Would like to see some more loader truck stuff if that is within your schedule someday hahah.
Sammit stoked how excited you are with your Supra you deserve it cant wait to see your plans with it/cruising with your dad I'd say 800hp Street Beast great work 👍
@blackshark3280 I mean no not really but you could get away with small reinforcements and maybe some bracing if you wanted to be on the safe side but not necessary and I'm sure he's gonna put a cage in it seeing since he's a FD driver and that will help stiffen it up and reinforce it 👍
Gotta say I totally agree with May on this one, driving a manual in traffic is no problem if you're used to it. I've wasted a significant portion of my life on the M25 (UK) in start-stop traffic, always in manual cars - sometimes it's the only thing keeping me awake. Given the choice I'll always opt for a manual gear box. Having a clutch feels like an additional means of control and I can't think why you wouldn't want that, even if it sacrifices some convenience in traffic. Great vid as always Sam, loving the Supra!
oh, thats a HKS GT3037 turbo. thats like(maybe was at this point) a nice 400-500hp turbo. It's practically a Garret GT3076R, ballbearing and IWG. love those kinds of setups!
congrats bro, im going to build out my maxima with the vq, with a nice exhaust system and suspension and maybe turn it into a turbo. its a vq30det 168,000km
Fantastic video Sam!! So glad to see the supra doing so damn well brother I cannot wait to see it ripping on the street! I literally died at the end with the Cali lean 😂
That's some nice numbers! Sure it could do more but I'd also keep it fun for street use. And 500-550 would be perfect for street use. Maybe 600 ish/tops. Definitely since the Supra is a heavier car. Say in comparison to any other Japanese sports car like an S15 for example. Since those are lighter, they have plenty of fun and power for street if they'd run 450-500 too. Also you both getting 86's? Yes!
The previous owner probably removed the overflow plastic tank, but you can install the Greddy Breather Tank and coolant overflow tank. I had it on my Aristo JZS-161.
SAM mate you got a bloody amazing deal mate and im so happy you have your dream car cant wait to see you build it and drive it mate and thank you for making another amazing video mate
Beautiful car , saying that as a old school hot rod builder and American muscle car lover. Now take a chaser or something 4 door get a lsx twin turbo, built Chevy trans and Ford 9 inch rear end a painless wire setup and get at it.
Just a heads up for you Sammit. I've purchased quite a few parts from Power House Racing for my JZA80 and most of it has been fine, BUT the coolant hoses that you've spoken about for the back of the motor that connect to the firewall (heater core) are not a great fit and I wouldn't recommend them. Unfortunately their products are a bit hit and miss sometimes. I hate to speak badly about companies products but I was expecting better from them.
If you way to give the supra a new look, build it like that customers mk4 with that spoiler 🙌 but keep the colour so you can swap the parts about in same colours etc
Sammit the hks 3037 is an old Garrett 3076 non gtx series with hks’s specced rear housings, it’s old technology but great back in their day! The way they name them is confusing but the only reason I know this info is I had one back in the day & when I took it to a turbo specialist In SA, he had worked on them many times so knew a lot about them.
On his 2j/Supra arc but walks past a gorgeous 2jz V300 Aristo like it's just a normal camry lol. Show Aristos more love Sammit. The Supra has the 2jz thanks to the Aristo. The 2jz was originally made and utilized in the JZS147 before the Supra got it
May I feel the same about automatic! We have inherited an automatic SUV and I feel like it is dangerous as well! It's not like I am scared to drive it or anything but you lack the control you have over a manual. Especially while pulling into traffic from a complete stop, you just never know when the car will go. Sometimes it starts to drive immediately, other times it takes a second or two before it decides to go. This second can make is quite unsafe. I find myself waiting for a big gap even though I would be easily able to use a smaller one in a manual. I just do not trust it. On the other hand, for city driving and stop&go traffic its very nice. No more leg days lol.
Go HKS 260/262 or full 264 cams. BC 80lb single springs n ti-retainers. BC Std size inconcel valves n valve guides. And the head will happily sing to 8200rpm n easily do up to 820hp reliably. ARP headstuds. 1350 injectors.
Thats the Amuse supra set up Oem manifold and internal wastegate gt3037s aka the torque beast 60kgm of torque Small turbo for the best throttle response.
The guy that sold it probably mad watching these videos. All he needed to do was a little bit of maintenance to make way more money. I like how the wife turns the wheel and was like “oh, wow!!!!” Like that was a special feature….then you said “no that’s not it!” That had me rolling.
response > big power numbers. that turbos perfect for that engine to keep your car drivable and responsive. the time before youtube rotted everyones brains was actually about enjoying driving your car.
That old turbo setup would have been bolt on and reliable right? Still responsive, the reason for going “small” if it’s a street car, 430hp at the wheels was heappppssssss in the early 2000s for a road car 🎉😅
This is pure Nostalgia. Windows Xp on the Dyno Computer with Internet Explorer 6 and Mk4 Toyota Supra tuning. 😀
I noticed that as well
Might aswell grab the options magazine for the back pages for the full set 😂
I was thinking the exact same thing too!
I think they put that turbo for reliability. I think that turbo is just perfect for it maybe add some other mods like bigger intercooler and injectors like you said. That hks is old school and unique 😅
I agree with you. I’d push for 500 just to keep everything reliable.
JZ's a solid plateform , congratulations on the steal of a Supra, thats what dreams are made of!
That Altezza 🔥🔥
You should put the old turbo kit from the supra in the Cresta 😊
Not a bad idea
but with a Link
👍
Will you do a video on some maintenance (rust treatment etc) for the loader truck? Would like to see some more loader truck stuff if that is within your schedule someday hahah.
We love May! Always a joy to have her in the videos.
Sam I think she deserves a Wiring Specialty engine and chassis harness with a nice Link fury 😉
The "Shucks" snap by Mai was perfect.
Sammit stoked how excited you are with your Supra you deserve it cant wait to see your plans with it/cruising with your dad I'd say 800hp Street Beast great work 👍
Do you need to reinforce the body at that point? I don't really know anything about supras
@blackshark3280 I mean no not really but you could get away with small reinforcements and maybe some bracing if you wanted to be on the safe side but not necessary and I'm sure he's gonna put a cage in it seeing since he's a FD driver and that will help stiffen it up and reinforce it 👍
Boost Controllers exist…
You don’t have too run 800hp all the time..
Sammit can have a separate tune for low boost. 600hp All day
@connoisseuroftigolbitts That's what I meant but didn't want to write a long comment 👍
@@Jon64scale no problem 👍

23:01 buddy of mine put a v10 viper engine in a RHD supra, biiiiiiiig turbo (101mm ???)
Man I’m so excited for you, owning a car like that must be amazing
My face when the second pull started getting insane
2:29 ... Damn Ojisan ... Obasan must have a great time huh !!!! 🤣
Bro love the energy !!!! Been an awesome watch !
18:29 smaller turbo responsive 🎉
Fiddly repairs are far better than a massive engine overhaul + all the fiddly repairs. Got super lucky buying this car. Was meant to be. 🙌
Lovin the Supra content 👌
Can’t wait to see this thing cleaned up. Cool to hear May loves manual.
15 seconds into the video and going to the dyno - "Yeah Buddy, Light weight Baby, Light weight". Much lover from the UK ;)
Love seeing you enjoy your dream car. Looking forward to all the fixes and upgrades.
Sam, @15:45, did someone let out a colossal fart?😂
Watch a few of your vids over the years but never really hit - UNTIL NOW! Supra content made me subscribe 👌
I have the stock twins ran in parallel doing only 0.85 bar it dropped 412hp on a mainline dyno too. Amazing motor.
bro I'm so pumped can't wait for the future vids about that mk4. pls hurry sam can't wait!
Still no problems, damn that was a brutal acquisition 💪💪
From one brother to another i hope blesses us with the same ❤
Nice body kit and some wheels for the cresda, look at all the bling on your cars.
Yugo is gonna be a motorsports monster! RB POWER!!!
oh, thats a HKS GT3037 turbo. thats like(maybe was at this point) a nice 400-500hp turbo.
It's practically a Garret GT3076R, ballbearing and IWG.
love those kinds of setups!
exicted to watch this build! your firing out so much videos for it.
never been so hyped for a video , much love here from the UK to you , mai and hugo and daikei :) sorry cant spell
congrats bro, im going to build out my maxima with the vq, with a nice exhaust system and suspension and maybe turn it into a turbo. its a vq30det 168,000km
Sick I picked up a 6 speed 03 maxima with the vq35 I’m gonna be building over the next few years
Fantastic video Sam!! So glad to see the supra doing so damn well brother I cannot wait to see it ripping on the street! I literally died at the end with the Cali lean 😂
Cant wait for Honda Civic Build by Summit. God bless you and your team. More blessings to come 🎉
Damn, that generation GS outside on the street at the dyno shop were killer!
Whoaa Crazy on the og tech 😮🎉 but dope super clean 👌🏼
Perfect timing! Just got home from school when u dropped this!
Toyota literally did take supras and put turbo beams engines in them back in the day as they were losing with the 2j.
700 whp in my opinion is the perfect amount for a street supra.
Your wife talking car talk is great!!!
That's some nice numbers! Sure it could do more but I'd also keep it fun for street use. And 500-550 would be perfect for street use. Maybe 600 ish/tops.

if you get a blow torch and like heat up the faded plastic it comes out pretty fresh obviously dont melt through it but yeah
Yup, Yugo's first street car should be an R34 Skyline. Of course, he'll be getting practice in before he gets his license.
You need a time trial car.
23:18 she was having ptsd flashbacks from the last honda Civic she rode in 😂
6:25 Holy Flying Spaghetti Monster 🍝
The previous owner probably removed the overflow plastic tank, but you can install the Greddy Breather Tank and coolant overflow tank. I had it on my Aristo JZS-161.
Go to up garage sell that plastic part so we can see what you can get for just that piece
100 yen 😂😂😂
SAM mate you got a bloody amazing deal mate and im so happy you have your dream car
cant wait to see you build it and drive it mate
and thank you for making another amazing video mate
Supra sounds awesome! 2nd gen Subaru Legacys have like half a foot of telescoping on their steering wheels, and a GT-B Legacy would be crazy.
Beautiful car , saying that as a old school hot rod builder and American muscle car lover.
Now take a chaser or something 4 door get a lsx twin turbo, built Chevy trans and Ford 9 inch rear end a painless wire setup and get at it.
Mae is a hoot while keeping Sam in balance.
Dude that turbo sounds wild!! 😤 is it just me or sounds way better than the t51r ? Do you agree?
PERFECT TIMING
Ur supra sounds literally like it's from an old racing video game insane
10:04 just like the previous video. Wiring issue. Sam I suggest replacing the wiring and check. Lose connection might be the culprit of melting fuse.
Submit it I’ll say 450 to 500 break sounds good anyway you got a good car😢😢😢😢😢
Might be a safe thing to change the head gasket then do your head work while it is off. At least then she be mint for a longer time.
As a Supra fan since the MK3 I think the MK4 is the best looking JDM to come out of the 90s followed by the FD
Hell ya man i live right outside Indianapolis, bring your coat! Lol love the supra
Get you a woman who, after killing it at the dyno, asks is you want a bigger turbo. 😅
Sammit the hks 3037 is an old Garrett 3076 non gtx series with hks’s specced rear housings, it’s old technology but great back in their day!
The way they name them is confusing but the only reason I know this info is I had one back in the day & when I took it to a turbo specialist In SA, he had worked on them many times so knew a lot about them.
that white altezza out front with the trd neo v1 body...drool
i run a s372sxe on my stock bottom end 2jzgte vvti at 22 psi on pump gas no problems. wonder on power i'd guess 700
With the Top Secrect stuff, 400ish at least.
Mecanical, could leave it, but fix the rest of the wiring.
Look into the factory AWD Integra that might be pretty rad to build
On his 2j/Supra arc but walks past a gorgeous 2jz V300 Aristo like it's just a normal camry lol. Show Aristos more love Sammit. The Supra has the 2jz thanks to the Aristo. The 2jz was originally made and utilized in the JZS147 before the Supra got it
I dont like the vents on top of fenders. The side vents dont look bad though.
ngl the one tow strap, I wouldn't be standing in front either
Could you show how you are going to preserve the body from the elements and prevent rust
Low loaders in the states are soooo expensive and somewhat rare on the east coast
I love the body kit!

Nice 2 know this car is in good hands Sam
9:40 Link ECU time
Get an EG hatch, I have one and love it, it needs a lot of work, though
RB26 supra?
Great video! I saw Daiki at Big Bang, such a nice guy! Maybe a NSX with a K-swap!!!!
1000hp AWD EG? I know a guy. Someone call Kyle. Also, looking forward to that American haggard footage.
where do you get the throttle cable adapter/disc thing on that purple supra?
Very cool your coming threw my city! Wish you had time for a meet and greet haha indy will be very cold when you come threw!😅😅😮😢
620hp from your biggest kiwi fan👌
I kinda want to see some twins in the Supra like twin G25-550's or twin GTX2867R's
Thats the Amuse supra set up
Oem manifold and internal wastegate gt3037s aka the torque beast 60kgm of torque
Small turbo for the best throttle response.
Love Mayumi rrgrrgh! on the dirty clip. HaHa!
You need to get a ED6 Hatch!!
What's the brand of the front guards?
You can restore those black plastics with a flame torch. Looks like new and takes seconds.
Get a del sol it's better than a eg to awd swap it's like an inch longer underneath s1 built in fl can do the swap in a day lol
What type of 86 old or new?
I’d love to import a loafer truck with a matsuri drift missile the loader trucks are siiick!
No fan blowing air into the radiator fins? Why?
The guy that sold it probably mad watching these videos. All he needed to do was a little bit of maintenance to make way more money.
