I have an iPhone because it fits me as I feel like it should, and my friend has an Android as he feels like it should. And we fit together, because it's not about phones nor colours, but about one another.

No one wants Apple to make their devices more like an android. iPhones were legit stuck on the lightning cable for years before they were forced to build the new devices with type-C ports. They had a large monopoly on what devices you could include with your devices, you cant choose to buy a different smart watch to match up with your phone or match up a different, better quality headset to your device because Apple makes the experience so much worse to do so. They were forced to add in RCS for sectors that mainly text each other as opposed to majority of the world that uses platforms like WhatsApp or Telegram, and they still opted to keep the chat bubbles from Android devices green, which means they chose to do so on older iOS versions. You cant even repair your Apple device because they've physically implemented anti-repair features into their devices, like replacing the screen with another from a donor iPhone of the exact same model. And calling them about your faulty device to send it in for repair does nothing as their own repair centres are directed not to fix your device, which will lead to them advising you to buy another.
What I will say is yes. Since moving to apple I want mostly the apple system entirely, but not just because of apple itself. I’m a cinematographer and apple actually just had more offerings for me and their system has worked 10x better than my windows/android system. Unless they get as buggy as my previous system I don’t see myself switching back, but that’s because it usually works for me.
The price of your macbook and your win pc was the same ? Because from what i know, you can have 5x better performance on win laptops / pc .. if you want to render video etc.. most people i know, that switched to apple was having 400€ laptop ( switched to 2000€ macbook) and low to mid range old Android and switched to 1300€ iphone... Then they are " shocked" how better apple is :D but the only difference is that they payed 5x more, so they get 5x more.. look ..i have 1500€ Android, 4000€ laptop.. my brother have iphone and mac for about same price.. when we compared them last month, my brother was shocked how much better competetion is..." @ naw I’m just not dumb enough to buy new from the shelf, no different than pc I always bought used. And after trade in I’m only paying like $3 a month on my iPhone. For pro models using both performance is about the same but I love mini led better than oled so that’s a personal preference. But as for pc yea price for power off the shelf you just get more, but while taking up 400w and poor resale value and stuck on windows while Mac runs windows macOS and Linux. I’m busy editing weddings and just need a machine I don’t have to go into the Bios for an hour when I have a deadline. With DR and FCP being so well optimized the performance for me is better but I know PP has issues but that’s all across the board. I’m not saying my experience is universal but as a cinematographer the tools offered and how quickly I finish them and how my experience has been. Windows and android just feel to clunky and difficult to use for me.
@ well my situation was a little different because unlike some people I’m not stupid enough to buy new whether that’s for PC or for Mac. So yeah, if you’re buying new for either one, of course the Mac is gonna be way more cost for power. But there’s three main reasons why I switched that windows and android still have yet to give me. Number one I’m a videographer and the android windows system is so clunky for creative use compared to Apple. And the biggest example I have for this is the standard of dynamic range in android phones is garbage compared to the DR I get out of apple phones so much that I have actually used my iPhone on professional gigs. Number two I don’t have to pay subscriptions. So yeah, I’m paying more upfront, although not in my case but by using Apple’s workspace tools, I’m able to do all my contract contracts, notes, script, writing all for free without having to pay a Microsoft Office subscription. And a lot of the programs are just better optimized on Apple between the phones and the computers that it just works better. Now that was by no means the case with the old Intel stuff. But with these M chips da Vinci resolve his actually optimized better on Mac than what it is on PC so much so that I’ve only had it crash once in the seven months I’ve had my MacBook while I would have it crash maybe 2-3 times while I’d be doing an edit. Not everyone’s experience is going to be the same but I I do get this performance without taking up over 500 W and my power bill is very happy for that because I have my computer on a lot. And I do wanna reiterate if you like PC better and you get your work done faster that way go for it. It’s just for me. Apple has been more. Efficient worked better and I’ve gotten better performance out of it from my tasks that I do.
Android means, that you are financially stable.. that's why most Android users are 30+ years old mens ( basically people with stable income) while apple users are 15-20y old girls.. with no job, no money, nothing achieved in life.

difference is, with android devices, you can choose a brand and stick to it or jump to another and have a slightly different experience software and hardware wise. Samsung in South Africa itself probably has a larger footprint because they've been here for years, before Apple devices were a thing, and they were challenged by Huawei, but as soon as they were kicked off of the official Android platform, no one truly wants them anymore. Other large android manufacturers also don't sell their devices here either, none of the top flagships, apart from Samsung, are available here.
The only way I’ve been able to afford Apple is because I had a job that I worked for four months and I was able to buy a bunch of different apple products. I have an iPod and iPhone and iPad and MacBook Pro and I mean they’re all used like my iPad is from 2016. I have an iPhone 13. My MacBook is from 2017 in my iPod is From 2013 and in total it’s like $900 spent for everything so that’s the only way I’ve been able to afford and my answer is yes Apple is probably my favorite tech company because the products work even after they stop getting updates

Apple is good but so is samsung (my fave android). I recently bought mac mini m2 for my computer simply because I hate windows os. For phone I could do iphone or samsung flagship, I have samsung s23 ultra right now and I love it. I will choose simply based on what is best in my opinion at the time I need new phone and last year it was samsung s23 ultra. I don't really use the ecosystem features anyways like imessage as it is irrelevant in my country. I mostly use googles services for cloud etc.

Just recently I was looking for a new phone. I was looking for a certain mid-range samsung device. I went to a couple of stores and at each one, the sales person would try to persuade me to buy an iPhone when I couldn't find the one I was looking for. At one store I just walked away because the sales person was just too much of an annoying apple fan boy
I have an iphone, airpods, ipad and macbook, but I also have a windows computer and an android phone ( i have windows laptop as well). I cannot say which is better than the other. Both have pros and cons. What I like the most on apple products is the seamless airdrop, but I do not like the controlled application you can install. What I like on the other hand on android is the flexibility, but I do not like majority of the OS out there, too much bloatware. Windows on the other hand, well I just hate windows right now, compared to MacOS. So, well nothing is better than the other. Just my cent. I can also add that android have better specs, just like window pc but with bad software, it is basically bad due to bad optimization. That goes as well in vice versa, a good software but with small ram or outdated hardware, is also not enough and add to that is that an apple product is way too pricy.

I totally believe in to each it's own, and people like what they like, but with Apple products there is an elitist and blind loyalty to the brand. I think the iPhone is a cool device, and has great privacy/security features, but it's very restrictive to use with other tech. I knew the cult vibes were real when it was announced that they intentionally decreased battery function. That was years ago! I thought people would wake up, but it's a brand that people are a slave to, like Starbucks. That logo represents more that the device/business itself. My son gives me grief about having an android phone, but has no answers when I tell him that Samsung parts are in iPhones. It's that blind allegiance that I'll never understand. I buy things based on how they benefit my life and what they can do for me, makes zero sense to buy something that doesn't achieve that. There's enough tech out here to suit everyone's specific needs, Apple isn't the end all be all.

Funny enough if you look at the sales figures, more people are buying the expensive galaxy as opposed to the "cheaper" phone so your argument is conspicuously not telling the whole truth. In America people buy things on credit while in other less developed places, people have to cough up the whole amount and some more upfront thus if America went by the same model, less people would own these iPhone products and this would be less of a story.

This is such a superficial take on this subject. If the experience wasn’t good, the resell value was too low or the products didn’t have quality, no matter how hard Apple marketed their products, people would not stay with them. So no, for most users, it’s not about feeling superior, it’s about having a superior experience. For example, I am a hardcore Apple fan, but Google did such a good job this year with the Series 9 and the new Android update that I’m considering them. And that’s how it works.

The only way I’ve been able to afford Apple is because I had a job that I worked for four months and I was able to buy a bunch of different apple products. I have an iPod and iPhone and iPad and MacBook Pro and I mean they’re all used like my iPad is from 2016. I have an iPhone 13. My MacBook is from 2017 in my iPod is From 2013 and in total it’s like $900 spent for everything so that’s the only way I’ve been able to afford and my answer is yes Apple is probably my favorite tech company because the products work even after they stop getting updates

Apple is good but so is samsung (my fave android). I recently bought mac mini m2 for my computer simply because I hate windows os. For phone I could do iphone or samsung flagship, I have samsung s23 ultra right now and I love it. I will choose simply based on what is best in my opinion at the time I need new phone and last year it was samsung s23 ultra. I don't really use the ecosystem features anyways like imessage as it is irrelevant in my country. I mostly use googles services for cloud etc.

Just recently I was looking for a new phone. I was looking for a certain mid-range samsung device. I went to a couple of stores and at each one, the sales person would try to persuade me to buy an iPhone when I couldn't find the one I was looking for. At one store I just walked away because the sales person was just too much of an annoying apple fan boy

I have an iphone, airpods, ipad and macbook, but I also have a windows computer and an android phone ( i have windows laptop as well). I cannot say which is better than the other. Both have pros and cons. What I like the most on apple products is the seamless airdrop, but I do not like the controlled application you can install. What I like on the other hand on android is the flexibility, but I do not like majority of the OS out there, too much bloatware. Windows on the other hand, well I just hate windows right now, compared to MacOS. So, well nothing is better than the other. Just my cent.
I can also add that android have better specs, just like window pc but with bad software, it is basically bad due to bad optimization. That goes as well in vice versa, a good software but with small ram or outdated hardware, is also not enough and add to that is that an apple product is way too pricy.

Apple is the cheapest well known " luxury" brand.. that means, EVERYONE is able to buy it with no problem, even people from the poorest countries, just pay 30€/ month or buy 5y old iphone 11 for 100$ ..but beside the price, it make you look " rich" somehow.. You don't have luxury life, yachts, mansions, private islands, bugatti, ..you don't even buy a good bread, because it's 0.20$ more expensive than bread from bottom shelve :D .. but what you can have , what millionars have ? An iphone ! That's the reason why most apple users are 15-20 year old, with no jobs, no money, but they want to look rich...
I totally believe in to each it's own, and people like what they like, but with Apple products there is an elitist and blind loyalty to the brand. I think the iPhone is a cool device, and has great privacy/security features, but it's very restrictive to use with other tech. I knew the cult vibes were real when it was announced that they intentionally decreased battery function. That was years ago!
I thought people would wake up, but it's a brand that people are a slave to, like Starbucks. That logo represents more that the device/business itself. My son gives me grief about having an android phone, but has no answers when I tell him that Samsung parts are in iPhones. It's that blind allegiance that I'll never understand. I buy things based on how they benefit my life and what they can do for me, makes zero sense to buy something that doesn't achieve that.
There's enough tech out here to suit everyone's specific needs, Apple isn't the end all be all.

What yall fail to realize is that apple products or specifically iphones are not more expensive than Android phones that's just stupidity. Iphones don't have many phones of different price ranges like 'budget phones', for example samsung has 2 segments of phones, the A series which are meant to be cheap and bought by many people,and the S series which are very expensive and less bought

Funny enough if you look at the sales figures, more people are buying the expensive galaxy as opposed to the "cheaper" phone so your argument is conspicuously not telling the whole truth. In America people buy things on credit while in other less developed places, people have to cough up the whole amount and some more upfront thus if America went by the same model, less people would own these iPhone products and this would be less of a story.

The majority of competetion AT THE SAME PRICE, have the same qualities, many times even better.. the only difference is brand name.. apple is " cheapesr luxury brand" . If the experience wasn’t good, the resell value was too low or the products didn’t have quality, no matter how hard Apple marketed their products, people would not stay with them. So no, for most users, it’s not about feeling superior, it’s about having a superior experience.
For example, I am a hardcore Apple fan, but Google did such a good job this year with the Series 9 and the new Android update that I’m considering them. And that’s how it works.
