I boarded SQ23 on Feb 4th from NY. I was very disappointed with the meal (only two gas station quality meals), seat and overall service of the flight. There was no priority boarding for premium economy and no priority for baggage handling as well. On the return flight, my baggage got delayed to reach the carousal and I missed my connection flight.
Thank you! It's just been really hard to find time to travel and edit the footage because of work but I'm hoping to have some time this week to make some videos
Thank you for staying around! It has been really hard to find time to edit videos because of my job but I'm trying to put an effort in it these few months.
Interesting that the catering was so minimal despite the long flight time. I have experienced PE on Singapore and don't rate it against other airlines such as Virgin, United, Air New Zealand and Emirates - all are pricey post covid. Wishing you safe and happy travels in 2023. Hello from London, UK : - )
You also have the option of taking the Original longest flight SQ21 from EWR. If you did the research on prices towards the region the lowest you can actually get on both is a EWR/JFK-MNL via SIN for $863.
Thank you for this! We just booked our trip for 2024… hopefully everything goes back to normal standard 😅 but I will be sure to pack extra snacks for 19hrs! 😸😸
I agreed with you that SQ meal is getting smaller and not as sumptuous as before. Hopefully they will adjust back to pre-covid level as air traffic start to pick up now.
I noticed the same when it came to food quantity on other SQ flights internationally recently. They don't even have the side salad and cakes like they used to.
@@InnocentGyal it was pretty good, very comfortable, Im about 6 feet tall and it gives me enough leg space to move around, food is also great.. but would I do it again? Perhaps no, I would rather do a layover somewhere to refresh my mind... I would say the best economy class would go with Etihad.. you really get enough ample space as well since asian airlines seat tend to be on the smaller side but overall im satisfied with their services. SQ is the best asian airline, they are in the number 1 ranking out of many best airlines...
@vincentvanderbilt5598 thanks so much for replying! I'll probably take your advice with Ethiad for one of the ways and I've been trying to see how best to organize a layover to re-acclimate to time when returning home to NY.
Had a similar experience - snack was a small bag of nuts, and meal did not meet expectations - small portion - all else was great! Taking it again in May '23 and will bring food this time
Singapore Airlines Premium Economy from my experience has been great, but if you were to compare it with other products, it really does feel underwhelming (especially the soft product). I also really don’t like the catering structure on their ultra-long haul flights, it’s just not enough food.
@@haresh911 they actually ran out of cup noodles on this flight which meant that a fair amount of passengers were asking. A person can only eat so many bags of chips.
Generally the turbulence is around Japan it seems like it is related to the jet stream. This is especially true on flights back to the US from Asia as I have always encountered turbulence around that area.
Wow! What a long flight! 18 hours flight? That’s too long!! It’s a very long flight. I bet you will be very tired. You need get some sleep soon. Next time you bring extra foods from concessions at airport or bring your own snacks from home.
Inflation? No it is not. They becoming stingy with portion while raising airfare. I have flown them in all class and year after year the portion is getting smaller even on business class. They don't even give you an amenity bag on business class.
Forgot they swapped this to JFK instead of Newark. Then again, who would want to take the worlds longest light and end up in New Jersey haha I know, old joke is old
A plane is not defined as a legally public space. Airlines are within their rights to ask for no filming. We all love youtubers, but sometimes they are a little self-centered :)
I flew NYC to BKK on Singapore Airlines Premium Economy (via Singapore) on March 6th, 2024. Very disappointing. It is basically an economy experience with better seats. The food was nothing exceptional (economy style food), no water in the sink bathrooms at the back of the plane to wash your hands, my TV display stopped working 4 hours into the 19 hour flight, I paid extra for a exit seat, but the seat was cramped and no storage room. Nobody could access the internet because of a server error, eventually I got access through a free voucher the head flight attendant gave me. The onboard staff were fine, but more focused on getting everyone asleep so they would have nothing to do. I have traveled Premium on United, Delta and Emirates, Singapore was such a let down. Their product is NOT recommended, overpriced and nothing special.
Thanks for your comments, I will not fly Singapore air. I plan to fly Emirate on Premium class and Business to Bangkok in the future, but I don’t know is it worthy the price yet? Because I would like to fly the jumbo jet A380
@@sunsetusa343 I have flown with Emirates Premium and Business on the A380 and they are excellent. I got an upgrade once to first class and I was totally spoiled. On some airlines, the premium fare is now almost the same as the business class fare. As always, if you are buying a business calls ticket, do not use the popular travel web sites, call an agent to get the best price to companies like Skyluxtravel, arangrant, travelbusinessclass etc. If you are buying direct online you are paying too much as the discounts are not online.
I would say that most airports are also built earlier than airports in Asia and because of expense and politics in the US renovating is always a hassle fraught with delays. The new LGA terminal is quite nice and O'Hare's terminals 1 and 3 are comfortable and have great views of the runways and tarmac. But yes compared to some Asian airports they are not as grand or clean.
@@AsiaTravels Americans are suckers and get screwed by politicians on these big projects . The corruption by politicians and unions and cronies is so rampant. I mean just look how long it took to build the freedom tower in NYC and compare that to Dubai or even some Chinese cities .. Fantastic video and loved the images you captured and the captions. Well done!
Thank you for your feedback!
Awesome - thanks for sharing. I'm excited to take this when i fly back to SG in May 2023.
Hope you enjoy it!
Wow welcome back! Always loved your EVA videos

I feel the same. Premium eco treat as eco on non stop flight.
Good to have you back on TH-cam!
Thank you for watching too!
Great review on the SIA ULR flight! I would like to try it one day. Welcome back, it’s been awhile since your last upload.

I found it interesting that if you take the route to EWR where you will depart and arrive from there, its much cheaper
It varies i think. I actually would have preferred EWR based on we live but it was much more expensive and didn't have any seats for redemption
Finally a new trip review welcome back cheers 🥂
Glad to see you back! Hope to see more from you soon! 😁

Thnks for sharing your flight experience. Looking forward more from you👍👍👍
Trying to get a preview of my SQ21 flight in May. Really not sure what to expect, but I hear SA is the best. We’ll see - first time to SE Asia.

Yeah I found my qatar economy class meals to be more filling
Ill be taking this flight as well in late April to Denpasar from NYC

How long was the Flight?
Welcome back :D
Is the seat comfortable. How many can luggages 🧳 can check in (kg)?
Do we still wearing a mask on the plane?
How'd you get such clear footage out the window without any glare from inside the cabin.
I just stick the lens right up to the window
damn your back!!
Thank you for sticking around!
That takeoff roll is loooooong
How long it records
Isnit 23x2 baggage?
How many baggage we get?

What's a "coil whine ?" Lol. I'm taking this flight in April, on my way to Phuket.
It's like a high pitch electrical noise. It became very noticeable on this particular flight
Hagen Daz ice cream also was served in air china economy class JFK to Beijing. SQ should do better 🤣 18 hours + should have 3 proper meals i think.
