Growth and care of Wandering Dudes

The Tradescantia sps of plants, earlier known as the wandering jews, are now called as wandering dudes. There are nearly 85 species of the Tradescantia species, with variation in shape, colour and texture of the leaves. They are easy to grow and multiply very quickly so the word wandering figures in the name. They will grow well in part shade and produce beautiful flowers which last for about half a day. They can be grown in pots, hanging baskets , window sills and are most suited as ground cover plants.
