Its amazing that in europe we actually had a similar ancient wisdom and deities as in India but it got all erased. I feel super connected to Diana. Is she the same as Artemis?
Not quite. She was a Roman goddess and was associated with the Greek goddess Artemis, therefore she is her Roman counterpart, kind of like how Freyja and Frey are each other’s male and female counterpart but are not the same deity. A good example of this is Athena and Minerva: Athena is the Greek goddess of wisdom, war and battle strategy, so when the Romans dealt with the Greeks, they associated their own goddess of war, Minerva, with her. Although she was much more an arts and crafts (I think also architecture??) deity. The Romans did however have a full on war goddess named Bellona who strangely never got a Greek counterpart.
ill be honest i havent learned much about the roman pantheon yet (more focused on greek and egyptian atm) but this is so pretty i feel like itll be fun reading about diana too later :)
I am studying the gods and goddesses and music helps me have a clear story on what this all means and what the stories reveal to me but I'm still studying since I want to know much as possible when I am allowed to do my magic practices...
