    Kind of funny this video is over 30 minutes when the recap can be summarized as "We're doing nothing, we're not going to do anything, and we are doomed faster than expected."

      We used to spend our time before midnight like this. A little entertainment - even if it is doom-tainment.
      We are such glorious god's - we don't even need to respect our own time.

    Thanks, Herb, Paul and especially Peter for out and out dedication to the matter at hand. May I just say that Roger Hallam describes the situation as "a death project" of the global hyper rich. Hallam is right of course. It's never been about the climate or environment. It's about power, wealth and privilege, and maintaining business as usual. Thank you to all involved with your channel. It's a great job you're doing.

    If it ends up in Australia for Cop31 it will be a riot. Recent protests in Newcastle Australia saw over a 100 arrests for wanting to protest future expansion of coal mine. Thanks again for your ongoing commitment to truth ❤

    As a "death project", it looks like it's on schedule.

    We're circling the methane drain.

      80% CO2equivalent is still carbon, we still drive without a second thought. Cattle are carbon neutral so the only new methane is gas supplies being shipped around the world.

    We are heading into the chaos totally defenceless. If I think about it too long and hard I get a rising wave of terror that makes me feel like I'm losing my mind

    Why deny? (1) Now, you get to use the last of the resources with complete abandon. (2) Later, you can use your horde of wealth to be sure your people survive. No ethics required! 😢

    • @SamWilkinsonn
      @SamWilkinsonn 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      There’s a fault in the logic behind 2. Nobody’s surviving this.

      Wealth is worthless without the economy and future workers to back it up. Even the wealthy people know that. They have to trickle some of the money down or you can't keep your staff alive. ☺

    I can't believe the time spent on on complimenting the infracstructure of the country when not tackling the the whole purpose of the COP. Peter and Paul were the only ones to actually critisise the BS THAT COP IS

    The biggest loss of momentum in the 60's and 70's was everybody got a job when money became based on debt.
    We have to start having the conversation around money/debt.
    Cattle being carbon neutral it wouldn't surprise me they have a vegan sign and it promotes more production overall, along with emissions are increased by crop based

    Peter, you're an "expert IPCC reviewer. " Does that mean you are on the IPCC panel and organise the report? Or are you a reviewer who waits for the report to be published and the reviews it?

    That stat about Canadian millennials / zoomers is pretty grim. It’s really a shame that even at this point, they can’t put two and two together to see what the real problems are, and how the cost of living directly relates to it. It’s neoliberalism that has done the damage to the climate and their buying power.

      You can't buy your way out. That is part of the problem. Did you see Elon saying, "Things are going to be GRREAT!" Because he builds Teslas in China and Trump has PROMISED we will be getting our EVs from China. Everything is going as planned.

    Guys, I have to break it to you: none of your viewers care about the accommodations at the conference and how they compare to previous years. Let’s try to provide useful information here; otherwise, there isn’t much purpose to these videos.

      CO2 concentrations rising makes indoor concentrations rise. We spend 80-90% of our time inside buildings. Going outside for fresh air doesn’t help as much anymore.

    As usual, Greta Thunberg's ill-informed remarks are not worth repeating, yet echo around the world.
    Developing Magma Energy over the next 25 years; the only true means to transcend the global climate crisis, requires exactly that - conferences, treaties and agreements between nation states, energy companies, banks and other interested parties - to fund the development and application of Magma Energy technology, and bring the energy online in a way that's not destabilising.

    • @christill
      @christill 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Ill-informed how? What exactly would you do if you were that age or younger? Accept defeat?
      And I don’t think she’s ill-informed to begin with. She understands capitalism and economic growth is the root cause of all of this. That to me puts her among the very few relatively speaking who actually do understand the full picture.
