I got so excited when I seen this recipe. I absolutely LOVE Tastefully simples spices, but you are right, they are plenty pricey not to mention shipping costs on top of it.
One of my best friends used to sell it. I love their Fiesta, Spinach, Bell Pepper, Wahoo Chili mix and their beer bread. They had a cheeseball mix too that was awesome but I don't remember the name of it, it was chocolate and toffee bits. Garlic Garlic makes awesome garlic butter.
Hi Vickie, Thank you SO much for re-creating "Garlic Garlic". This is such a great idea!! And what a cost savings!! I love it!! And the jars you have look so lovely - and what a delight to fill one with the garlic garlic!! Love, Mary
This sounds wonderful, I've got to order some garlic granules, I have a bunch of fresh garlic from the garden, and powdered, but not granules, thanks for sharing the recipe with us, I bet this is good on chicken, steak, roast and potatoes, mmmm, xoxoxo
Hope Love Faith you could probably use freeze dried, but it would be more expensive. Also, it might be weaker tasting, as dehydrating tends to concentrate flavor.
This sounds great Vickie!! Not too good for family n friends that aren’t into garlic though!! Lol! Could also be a passion killer for than non garlic loving significant other 😂 Lucky we all love garlic here....if a recipe says to add 2 cloves...I add 4 (or more 😉). Soo much cheaper making it this way. You’ll have to watch this back and take notes of quantities to get the recipe. Great idea Mrs D xxx
I've never heard of the company but I will give this a try. I'm always looking for a garlic seasoning I can stick with. For the last few years what our local stores carry just have not cut it for me. Thanks so much for the video.
Tastefully Simple is mostly home parties. A lot of fun, a lot of tasting, but pretty pricey. We go through this pretty quickly, and use it on a lot of things.
That just sounds wonderful...on anything. And the dip sounds amazing as well. My favorite dip was always just sour cream and Lipton’s onion soup mix but this sounds soooo much better! Thank you Vickie!
I make my own Lipton Onion Soup Mix...Here's the recipe...Hope you like it ! ONION SOUP MIX 1.5 cups dried onion flakes (I dry my own) 1/4 cup No Sodium Beef Broth like Herb-Ox 8 tsp. onion powder 4 tsp. brown sugar (optional) 2 Tbl. dried parsley 1 tsp. celery seed 1 tsp. paprika 2 tsp. dried thyme 2 tsp. garlic powder 2 Tbl. Dark Roast Instant Coffee (optional) Mix All Together and Store in an Air Tight Container... 5Tbl = 1 pkg of Lipton Mix
@@pattihabby I wrote this down and plan to use it. I keep all these types of recipes because I do not want all the "stuff" they add in the store bought products. TFS!!
Sounds wonderful.. Thanks for printing your recipe.. too. We love garlic flavor here.. what is not to love..? except for maybe the dragon breath after.. LOL But aside from that.. Health benefits abound!!! Love your mortar and pestle . Lori is right-Yum on Chicken.. Thanks Vicki. Great job!
Hello, Vickie. I am a new friend who found you through Lori at Whippoorwill. Had to check you out, and I am so glad I did. This recipe looks great and I am going to enjoy more of your videos.
@@HeritageWaysKatie Thank you. Papa Bruce and I are in second marriages, so grandchildren from his side of the family gave me that name. It must really be hard on kids who have multiple grandmas and grampas. So then some of the grandchildren on my side of the family started calling me that, too, because they also still had great grandmothers living. Whew, that is a lot of stuff for a child to sift through.
Thanks for sharing this recipe. I had never heard of this company but love that we can make our own. "Taste good, tastes like garlic" ha! By the way, MrP noted that you have a new apron on. :-) Love you, KT
Sounds wonderful. We do enjoy garlic in our home. Thank-you for sharing your recipe with us today. I will be trying this recipe very soon. Have a wonderful day.
Sounds like a wonderful seasoning I am so excited to try tfs Ms Vickie XOXO luvs ya I hope that you are having a great weekend!! Heres to happy cooking but better yet happy eatings
Thank you for the recipe! I just checked & the price is $9.99 for a jar. I will be using my dehydrator to dry out lemons & peels and make a powder to make my own! Great recipe!!
Wow! It has really gone up, and at the rate I use it, it would really be expensive! That is great on the lemon peels. I can only do that on really sunny days in the summer. My Excalibur pulls too much power, especially if it runs into the evening/night.
I've always wanted to recreate the mixed spices you make it seem so easy! Although I give you credit tasting it straight I don't think I could do that, and wouldn't know what was missing if I did lol
That was facinating. I have no idea what Garlic Garlic is but I wish I did. Your pallet must be wonderful. It was also good to se a Morter and Pestal used in the Kitchen. How are you with turning Lead into Gold :-)).
Just found the video, have you tried a copycat of their onion onion seasoning? I used it for making chicken to use on chicken quesadillas but like you I wasn’t willing to replace it when I used it up because of the cost. Thanks for the video. 😉
Vickie, I have heard of the company you mentioned:) Thanks for sharing this recipe. Where do you usually by your bulk products? How are you liking your Azure products? Thinking of purchasing some things from them. Thanks for sharing your recipe and ideas. Love ya, Judy❤️
I am buying them mostly from Azure Standard, and I am loving them! They are a company that holds beliefs in line with my own, and I like their products and service. They have some ingredients that have been hard to find, and I think their price is reasonable. I am about to film a video using some of their products, hopefully today.
Thank you, I knew you got some products from them, but wasn’t sure if that was the only place you used. That would be great to see some uses for some of what you got. Especially the Eicorn ( probably not spelled right 🤔) grain! Look forward to watching 😘 Hugs, Judy ❤️
Vickki, where on earth did you get a mocajete that large? I have looked online and all I can find is the small ones that look like tiny mortar and pestles. I would so love to have one that size. I’d love it if you would share where you got that one. And the garlic garlic looks fantastic. Thank you!

Thank you Mary! This really is one of our favorite seasonings, along with a favorite dip mix! I can’t imaging paying $10 a jar now!

You could probably use garlic powder. I didn’t have any, so I used the granules. The more garlic the better!
Vickie's Country Home would the freeze dried grind up?...are they stronger tasting?
Hope Love Faith you could probably use freeze dried, but it would be more expensive. Also, it might be weaker tasting, as dehydrating tends to concentrate flavor.

LOL! Mr P is a keeper if he notices something like an apron! And garlic is ALWAYS good!
EDIT: use for chicken salad. Or Slather that dip over chicken before baking. That would be amazing. Oh yum!!!
Oh my Gosh! Or maybe mix it in cream cheese... Oooh! Great idea! Now I’m gonna have to try that!

I do shop at Costco, and a local grocery for some bulk items, but when it comes to organics, they are limited.
