You have to concider that all the actors use many cosmetic procedures and operations to look so good also! Unfortunately most people don't have such opportuninties so our skin looks just like alyone else's. And of course the lighting plays it's role.

With rosy tones like this on the eyelids, how do you avoid making the eyes look puffy or tired? Im afraid to use pinks or reds because of this (especially on the lower lash line).
Rosana Pozo clear eyes help, if they are red, they will look tired. Try a fresh colored pencil on the waterline maybe, and some border between the lid and the eye helps, like a good mascara or even a liner
I think it either works on someone, or doesn't. I'm in the odd category where neutrals are unflattering on me. I look better with a pink eyeshadow. most browns and beiges look terrible. I would just experiment. I read David Kibbe's Metamorphosis, and pink eyeshadow was suggested for my "type." Otherwise, I don't think I'd have even tried.
That Chanel vita lumière aqua is gorgeous on her and on you Lisa everytime you use it. However on me it looks so oily and greasy (eventho i have dry skin). Love !

Are you using a filter on your videos now, Lisa? I hope not! I think it really discredits the makeup look in a way, and it's nice to see REAL skin even if it's imperfect. Please don't take this the wrong way though, obviously the makeup (+ you and your clients!) looks gorgeous and I really enjoyed this video, but I find the filter to be distracting. I also enjoyed how spontatious and natural this video was! :) if you don't use any kind of filter I might just need my eyes checked, haha! ;)
HI Caroline, unlike my usual videos which are shot on a very good, stable camera and with professional lighting set up etc this video was shot using the camera of my assistants japanese phone. I agree that its no where near as clear and sharp as my usual videos but we didnt have any lights with us either (its mainly shot with inconsistent daylight) so the focus and quality throughout the video changes a lot. I had to brighten some shots which were too dark but I did NOT apply any blurring filters after AT ALL, this is how the footage came out. I agree with you that its is not on par with my usual set up in terms of detail and professional finish but I had a choice to film this video in this (not great) way or to not shoot it at all as the whole thing was very impromtu and spontanious. In addition to low light, we didnt have a tripod - so the fact that its in focus at all for any length of time is a pure miracle!! I will add though that Kate does have the most perfect skin Ive ever seen (in my entire career), in fact my assistant and I were calling her miss poreless! X

Kate is my girl crush every day, I even asked for a "Kate look" for my prom a few years back! I really enjoyed this tutorial and it looks really similar to what I like to do even though I'm really blonde- I use the Jouer liquid lipstick in Snapdragon to create that frosty mauve feel. Maha It has homeopathic dilutions in it and acts as an occlusive instead of an absorbing moisturizer so you should be fine :)

Are you using a filter on your videos now, Lisa? I hope not! I think it really discredits the makeup look in a way, and it's nice to see REAL skin even if it's imperfect. Please don't take this the wrong way though, obviously the makeup (+ you and your clients!) looks gorgeous and I really enjoyed this video, but I find the filter to be distracting. I also enjoyed how spontatious and natural this video was! :)
if you don't use any kind of filter I might just need my eyes checked, haha! ;)
HI Caroline, unlike my usual videos which are shot on a very good, stable camera and with professional lighting set up etc this video was shot using the camera of my assistants japanese phone. I agree that its no where near as clear and sharp as my usual videos but we didnt have any lights with us either (its mainly shot with inconsistent daylight) so the focus and quality throughout the video changes a lot. I had to brighten some shots which were too dark but I did NOT apply any blurring filters after AT ALL, this is how the footage came out. I agree with you that its is not on par with my usual set up in terms of detail and professional finish but I had a choice to film this video in this (not great) way or to not shoot it at all as the whole thing was very impromtu and spontanious. In addition to low light, we didnt have a tripod - so the fact that its in focus at all for any length of time is a pure miracle!! I will add though that Kate does have the most perfect skin Ive ever seen (in my entire career), in fact my assistant and I were calling her miss poreless! X

Good to know that it’s a one time thing! :) loved the spontanious video though and I don’t mind when the lighting isn’t perfect, I just don’t like filters - I feel like it makes videos look like they’re out of focus almost (just in general and not just specifically this vid). And I have no doubt that Kate has amazing skin, she is absolutely gorgeous 😍

I really enjoyed this tutorial and it looks really similar to what I like to do even though I'm really blonde- I use the Jouer liquid lipstick in Snapdragon to create that frosty mauve feel.
