And by the way, C Mac is so passionate and knowledgeable about our wetlands, that I think he gives the best information from a sportsman perspective and an expert analysis. Great job Mr C Mac!
What C Mac said is spot on and said colleges would do so studies on the impact the diversion might have on the marsh. When studies are to be made, there is no money left over to do the projects on which the studies were made in the first place. So sad.
That was my favourite CMAC conversation to date. Makes perfect sense to send fresh water to fresh water swamps to take some of the effects off of Lake Pontch. Thank you for sharing and keep them coming!
I grew up out there, and I really appreciate the information CMac gave at the end of the video. I really hope to see revitalization projects of our freshwater lakes and bayous in the near future.
Great to see you two guys back on the water again. A buddy of mine has a camp that way, and is always inviting me to come down. I used to fish that area back in the early 80’s. We are truly blessed with so many great areas to fish here in the beautiful state of Louisiana. Great video! TY
Nice to see you guys in my neck of the woods. Being a native of Hahnville, I used to live at the beginning of what is known as the Sheriff's Canal. From here I could access the swamp and canals to Lake Des Almonds. Tons of great fishing growing up here. Oh I'm in my sixties. Anyway I always enjoy watching your videos and loved Chris’s update on the progress of the land involving the Mississippi River.
When I worked at Louisiana Sportsman, I used to fish a series of canals near Bayou Gauche with the late Paul Oliver Sr. He'd pick me up from work around 2 p.m., and we'd fish 'til dark. Sadly, those canals are now gated.
Man I wish I knew you were coming to fish the area I would have told y’all were to fish. They have been catching them in the providence canal and you can get into humble on the bayou from there. We launch off of 3127. You need to get together with captain Clyde Folse . The Crappie Psychic. I live in Des Allemands and we thought it was going to take 4 years or better for the fish to come back. I was told we had a significant fish kill.
I seen you at the anglers anonymous booth Friday and wanted to meet you but I got caught up talking to one of the other guys there and you had left by then! Anyways big fan of the content man! Hope to meet ya sometime soon!
Catfish, capital catfishing is good. I hate that boat Launch Lowbridge to drive under and it’s a steep launch. We actually go down to bayou Gauche rd follow to the end there is a public boat Launch back there and we had south in the lake Salvador the catfish and bass are great when you hit the lake but then when we run to the southern east side where it drains out you can catch specs and redfish.

I luv hearing Cmac explain the swamp ecosystem.

That's my preferred launch too. I'm related to the family that owns most of the land at the end of the road including the launch. Tight lines!
C Mac is the truth
Need to let more water through both bayou lafourche and Davis pond.

DC lobbied and laundered $ 2 Billion.
They tried to put a diversion in lake Des Allemands years ago but the fishermen stopped it. Big mistake
Manchac and Joyce they’re planting 1 million cypress trees, if the river water flowed through we would have so much better fishing,
