You probably dont give a shit but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can stream pretty much all the new movies and series on Instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my gf these days =)
That fuel tank has 2 filters inside one on the sender unit which is the one you showed on the vedio and one on the opposite side of the tank but you gotta remove the expansion check valve with the tiny hose and shine a light inside the tank to the corner of the tank to visually see it. To change it you may have to cut open the tank. I couldn't change mine but I used can of wd 40 to clean it
When priming turn ignition on. This opens stop fuel valve on injector pump. The way you primed only puts fuel up to the stop valve solonoid and will not prime the actual pump.
can anyone please help i have a 1991 pajero /Shogun gen 2 v6 3ltr 6g72 there are two silver like condensers fitted by the coil can some one tell me what these are called and what they do?
You probably have it long fixed now, but if the primer head in the filter is anything like the Isuzu ones, they are notorious for the membrane splitting and allowing air in and rough running plus hard starting.
Only did the diesel filter on my kia yesterday and left the top pipe off with my thumb over the metal bit coming from the housing as I pumped the diesel through, occasionally removing thumb until the diesel flowed out the pipe and job done, no cutting out. Result full filter and a rag placed to catch any spillage Learned that on TH-cam. Maybe you know this already....
Lovely video!!! I am in an almost similar fix. Fuel guage wasnt working when I received the car and I didnt top up the diesel. I was driving the next day to get the fuel gauge fixed when the car stopped all of a sudden (due to lack of fuel I guess). I tried starting severeal times and it just cranked. After several desperate tries it actually started, revved so high for about 5 seconds, bringing a lot of black fume from the exhaust and then it shut down. I also realised the same black smoke from the bonnet but couldnt tell where it came from when I popped it open. Now most of the signal lights on the top dashboard wont light up when I switch on except the check oil light and SRS light. The main problem is that the fuel filter still pumps out fuel when we manually pump it but the fuel isnt getting to the injectors, so it makes the vehicle crank and not start. Any advice to what to fix please? Most mechanics in Congo dont know how to work on other makes except Toyota and its giving me a headache since the car is in a garage 3 days now with no solution. Would appreciate your kind input Regards Felix
Hi mate yes they are good but like everything technology has moved on and there is other tools out there that will do more for the same price I would personally look at foxwells newer tools I really like Foxwell scanners they are fantastic but this one is an old one now
@@abdallahabdallah8815 hi mate I'm not sure of the new Foxwell scan tools but I have used the launch diagun IV it is more expensive but the functions it has is amazing the bidirectional controls the programming features it's really good
I have done videos on it and there's more videos to come on it and the links of being the description you can always get a price tell them I sent you they will look after you
That was one nasty tank and with all that rust and water inside, it probably will come back down the road. I would think that with all of that rust under the car, the owner would have got rid of it. Great video Leon!
The engine doesn't run constantly if the AC was powered off the engine when the engine shuts down or when you're at traffic lights or when you're reversing there's lots of different situations you will have no AC the battery is constant that's why the AC is that voltage so we'll always run no matter what situation you are in
bodgit and leggit garage which part of Ireland? I’ve been round West Clare, Miltown Malbay a few times, for the Clancy music festival. Nearly hit an unlit tractor one night, “WTF” I said, “ but sure you should KNOW he always drives home this way every night “ replied my friend. only in Ireland.. and Romania probably.
I own the older 96 pajero model. You can access that same round panel on top of the tank from inside the car and the bastard bolts nearly always snap like a yorkie chocolate bar and its tank off anyway. All to clean that stupid tiddly in-tank filter that clogs up.
Leon, that slime in the tank looks like fungus or bacteria that grows in diesel. Iv'e just done same job on a Toyota Rav4. As we store diesel for our fleet I researched this phenominum Have a looky here: fuelandfriction.com/trucking-pro/microbial-growth-in-fuel-prevent/
Yes mate and there was more stuff in it too hard to know exactly what it all was but I have done another video where that bacteria is been in the tank before
That was bad!😮
Thanks for sharing!

why doesnt my car start? shit in the tank....how often do i have to do that?
It all depends hard to say depends on the condition of the tank and where you get your fuel
@@bodgitandleggitgarage you missed the joke..how often do i have to shit in the tank? lol
Great fix , but i do like to see the job being done. Miss your ranting on the tools 😂
Lol
Hey Leon hows the transit getting along
Need money to finish like everything so it's on hold
certainly shows how reliable the old vehicles are.
a modern one will give up the ghost
Wow that filter made me chuckle, wonder how long before it’s clogged again. Nice job Leon.
A long time I would say lol
Hello, I want to buy a diagnostic tool the Foxwell NT644 pro. Would you recommend it? Thank you in advance! Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪

I agree with you mate I did explain that first told me to go ahead with it I only do as I told and cash the cheque LOL
so i give in, why is the prius a/c run at 200 something volts and not 12v dc? and can i trust your advice seeing as you dont like jelly babies?

The biggest surprise was the colour of the diesel... I was expecting red like every other farmers vehicle I’ve ever seen.
Lol we don't get red diesel in Ireland we get green

It's one thing we've gotten coming around the world everything roasts eventually lol
Great vid Leon 👍that gauze reminded me of the old hdi's that run on bio diesel they look like bottom of a chip pan horrible
I bet that smelled really good lol
8:41 that's what she said!
Lol
sorted . at lest the tank was not full
These things normally happen when the tank is full I was lucky this time
@@bodgitandleggitgarage just been thinking that same tank will be used to fill some expensive farm machines
Holy crap I think the owner ought to come up with a way to filter the fuel.
Typical farmer as long as it's cheaper that's all they care about don't realise it costing more in the long run
Great fix mate. Keep up good work. Cheers 👍👍💪💪
Thanks mate
Dirty diesel job ;-))) cheers Leon
Thanks mate
Good to see you back the 3 thumbs down are because you called it a JEEP which it is they are muppets get over it is a JEEP 😂😉

Sh.te in the bucket wasnt it. Surprised it kept going as long as it did with all that sh.t in the tank.
But it didn't keep going lol
What a rusty beast...move to California mate.very little rust
Lol I don't think california's ready for me yet
bodgit and leggit garage you will fit right in 😉
The owner will now be able to drive it to the crusher

Nice one. The contaminated diesel works well in a waste oil burner. 😂😂😂😂
