"Smoking weed with you cause you taught me to" always reminds me of one of those PSA commercials in 80's and early 90's. The one where the Dad finds pot in his teenage son's room, and when he confronts him he says something like "Where did you get this? Or why would you do this?" and the kid responds "I learned it from watching you!" I tend to over-analyze, forgive me. But I was thinking about the lyrics, and that PSA ad, and I thought it was kinda interesting. Because in this track he's talking about different cities, main focus is his hometown of Los Angeles. So the line "Smoking weed with you cause you taught me to" takes on a different meaning than the PSA ad. He's obviously talking about his hometown teaching him this, not a person. Which made me think a little deeper into that meaning. How kids are raised in the streets, not their parents. How they are neglected by their parents, and turn to the streets to find family. But again, this is me over-analyzing. Just something I thought was interesting and intriguing. Could be way off, but just my opinion. So don't start cussing me out over. I'm not saying I'm right, just trying to dig deeper. I would love to hear your thoughts!

If i was him , no doubt i'd regret it...
she trolling but still sexy af. Cali got it tho. I'm from the Midwest. all we got is twista, bone thugs and kells. shit those three are the shit. only if they would have came out with a mixtape album or sumthin. let me not forget Kanye. if he would have produced a bone-twista album with kells singing all the hooks. OMG!
This song will never get old. Reminds me of my college days 😩
OMG. I miss Dre so much, I'm glad i found out about this song.
You're *
Oooh, shit ,here we go again Another kendrick and Dre, Banger 💯....where was i hiding under a rock??? I just discovered this track 2024😮
How old are you
@robertl5299 why ????
This is one of my favorite tracks ever and easily my favorite in thr album. It's just so good.
crazy how Dr. dre made another california anthem with a west coast rapper influenced by tupac.
i thought lil wayne was kendricks inspiration
+Jaylin Taylor nope young thug was influenced by lil Wayne not Kendrick
Dr Dre doesn't even really produce anymore, he executive produces, and typically when he gets on the track whoever's on it with him, writes his verse for him. just listen, whoever he gets on the track weather its Kendrick, snoop or Eminem, you can tell
is that true ?
+pussy damager hmmm now that I think of it this does seem like Kendricks flow but Dre has and had a great variety oh styles so I'm not 100% sure but I like it either way
i just discovered this song not long ago and its my absolute favorite song right nowwwww ❤😍

Hip hop has two homes, that’s New York and Los Angeles. A foreigner from Canada will always be an outsider to this culture. California stands with Kdot
