As someone who loved kendrick when i was a kid and his music came on the radio, this song is a classic. A lot of his are, and as a poor individual on sec 8, i can relate heavily to this song fr.
To all who still rock to this beautiful track and get brought back to such intense and nostalgic times, you're not alone. I love you all, and have a happy new year.
DRZ SZN facts gave my 360 to my little cousin but before that I checked my friends I used to play black ops 2 with and listen to this song but one of them is a sergeant in the army bruhhhhh 😂😭
Yeah I get the same nostalgia from Los Santos on 360. That was simultaneously the best an worst summer of my life. I got addicted to meth nd eventually became homeless for a bit after that. Adhd and night of the living junkies were ma anthem for those 3 years.
@@KungFuKendrick I thought I found him from GTA too but it was actually Saints Row that actually came out a month earlier with Swimming Pools on, but then GTA helped with A.D.H.D
Yeah I love it, it’s like when you’re a teenager your age doesn’t matter, you just do shit. Then, when you get into your 20s you have responsibilities and your life isn’t as free. It truly speaks to me as someone who is almost 18. I only have freedom ahead for 2 years.
@@DxrkOptics You still just do shit in your 20s... you just do it with your own money that you made from that 9 to 5 job. The responsibilities come when you mature not when you hit 20. I'm 28 and yes this lyric still speaks to me 10 years later :D.

Yeah that cover is what made me say space I couldn't remember the name. Beat is dope tho takes me back to being 14 getting high as fuck in the summer. Kendrick always has a place in my soul with this one
I watched this music vid at night about 2 years ago, probably about 3am or 5 am, late as shit, the lyrics and beat have stuck with me. This song makes me think of the hard things in life, like my dad passing away and great girls I could have had but let go. It bums me out a lot, but I like to listen to it. It seems like a lot of kendricks songs go "deeper" than most hiphop/rap songs whatever you want to call it.
keep your chin up man, my dad died this past year, im trying to get a girl back that i know would had been a hell of a wife right as we speak, its 4:11 am, and im on my 9th beer , keep trying dude
I like this post. Kendrick is deep that's why i fucks with him. His whole first album is a story about what was going on around him. How he was tying to rise above it. But its real. Not glorifying the life. He went Tupac on that shit.
As much as I like Kendrick's last few projects, nothing has even come close to touching me the way Section.80 did. I just related it so much. I played it pretty much everyday for about a year and half. I can say it is piece of work that defined a time in my life. True artistry.
Kendrick made my last year in School... 2013 back then he already had a Lot of amazing stuff like section 80, good kid, overly dedicated....I spent ALL my days to his music...im thankful
That generation is over, but I kinda wish that the old generation was still like todays generations. Chillin in your room on the PS3 playing Black Ops 1,2 and playing the GTA 5. Life was so much simpler than.
Man this song defined a damn good era in my life. I was 20 going on 21. Young and worry free. When you that age it feel like you have all the time in the world. The concept of time is almost nonexistent. You don’t think about tomorrow or next month. Just fully present in the moments. Riding thru the Chicago streets at night bumping this on the way to one of my slides crib just hit different. Good days.
This was me too. And I remember I met a 25yo guy at a party and he was like enjoy it now cause shit sucks after and dang was he right! But this song and album always bring me back to those easy times.
This song brings me back to the good old days...it gives me the feel of driving on a warm summer night with the windows open, my buddies in the back seat, we just picked up, just feeling really at peace with the world.

MrDawggy313 plus that production on this is crazy good. From the voice doubled up on some parts, the effects and when, I especially when he finishes a verse and makes a point about ADHD that little banging sound that stops the beat for a second makes it even more impactful.

@@heathergardiner9196 hm?
Yeah I love it, it’s like when you’re a teenager your age doesn’t matter, you just do shit. Then, when you get into your 20s you have responsibilities and your life isn’t as free. It truly speaks to me as someone who is almost 18. I only have freedom ahead for 2 years.
@@DxrkOptics You still just do shit in your 20s... you just do it with your own money that you made from that 9 to 5 job. The responsibilities come when you mature not when you hit 20. I'm 28 and yes this lyric still speaks to me 10 years later :D.
@@ditch5662 it’s not exactly 20 I more meant like you’re growing up, your expected to be more mature and you have responsibilities that you didn’t have, say, in your teenage years

As in: he didn't take time and create this music to simply become rich or flex some bs swag, he actually put thought into it
Some Mgk songs are more his come up and life as well
keep your chin up man, my dad died this past year, im trying to get a girl back that i know would had been a hell of a wife right as we speak, its 4:11 am, and im on my 9th beer , keep trying dude
I like this post. Kendrick is deep that's why i fucks with him. His whole first album is a story about what was going on around him. How he was tying to rise above it. But its real. Not glorifying the life. He went Tupac on that shit.
I listened to it once at 2am or something, and I keep coming back to this video when its this late
i wish kendrick would return to this cloud rap-esque sound

Man this song defined a damn good era in my life. I was 20 going on 21. Young and worry free. When you that age it feel like you have all the time in the world. The concept of time is almost nonexistent. You don’t think about tomorrow or next month. Just fully present in the moments. Riding thru the Chicago streets at night bumping this on the way to one of my slides crib just hit different. Good days.
