I picked up the iphone 14 yesterday instead of the 14 plus or 14 pro max mot only for the weight but also because i have hit the point where i prefer smaller and lighter when it comes to my phones
Have to say 13 mini makes more sense for size and weight, it’s almost identical specs too.
So interesting they gave other TH-camrs the blue model and you the purple!! Purple was the one I’ve been eyeing to possibly get so I’m so happy they sent you that one! Great review
I was looking for a review just like this - focused completely on iphone 14 base model. All the other reviews I've seen so far have pro models overcasting the base model (obviously lol). I'm on a 6s right now (I KNOW!) and was confused between base model and the pros. Looks like I might just go for the base model.

I recommend you to just buy the iPhone 13 since it's $699 and it's almost the same as the 14 but cheaper
I pre ordered the 14, tomorrow is my collect date, my current mobile is a 7! 14 is the one for you if you want to stick with the budget like me, i guess we wont be disappointed... lol.. otherwise 14 pro have few new things than 14...
For the base model you’re better off getting the 13
Would love to see you do a video entirely about iPhone battery life and what to tweak in settings to get 8 hours of screen on time on our phones.

iphone 14 has upgraded thermal and 5 core GPU, which the Base 13 has 4 core gpu a liiittle less slower processor than 14, not much difference, but only on the GPU there's a difference little... You are right! good video. Since this fits my budget i've pre ordered it! cannot wait!...

I’d keep the mini if I were you. You’re still going to get years of iOS updates, and if the battery gets worse you could get it replaced.

5:55 The Pros actually only go up to 2000 nits on outdoor brightness by using the censors, so indoors I don’t think they actually came to that high of a number but yeah

I have the same iPhone 14 in purple since Black Friday 2022. I was thinking iPhone 14 in blue for my 2nd choice and 3rd choice was iPhone 13 in pink. I even bought cases for iPhone 13 which it can fit the 14.
I have always been a Samsung S line fan. when i was at Verizon yesterday about to upgrade from my Samsung galaxy S22 + to the S23 + i decided to get the iPhone 15 pro instead lol i like it so far. I still have my galaxy S22 + for when i want to use android an now iPhone 15 pro Verizon also gave me a free pair of airpods 3rd generation for getting the iPhone 15 pro so it was a win win

It’s apples way of making you upgrade by slowing down your old phone. Apple was fined for this a while back
I have the SE 2020 and I see a slow down when using Wifi and the battery life is shorter when using internet as a whole.
@@Eged282 I have se 2020 too and after 2yrs of using it it might be a bit slower but tbh never noticed a slow down even with all the pictures and videos and files I have on it. Certainly doing better than all of my previous samsung phones which lasted 2yrs tops lmao. The battery on the SE was shit from the start but mine was an emergency purchase. Battery health will degrade over time and if the battery was already bad then it's gonna go to worse so that's to be expected

Quality looks great… sound is popping indoors and if, the videos are straight from camera and not much post production editing , the Apple is still king of the phone video…

I will be getting this phone soon. I do wonder how this phone will be next to the iPhone 14 pro that I have. I still doubt which one too keep when the 14 comes. I do think the pricing of apple these days is weird.
I have a 14 pro max and I’ve been using this phone more, I like that it’s lighter in terms of weight and the cameras are awesome. Only things I’ve notice is the peak brightness is lower and only has 60hz.

I don’t believe so. The camera bump is even bigger on the iPhone 14 pro than the iPhone 13 pro. But I’m not 100% sure myself

The iPhone 14 has a slightly better camera and a slightly better battery. Also, the iPhone 14 has the new satellite SOS and crash detection safety features. Otherwise they are extremely EXTREMELY phones. Hope this helps!

LG did a wide 2nd camera about 6 years ago! Also still on the iPhone 14 there is a front facing notch!, Android now hides the notch,

Bruh. With the IPhone 14 I am now officially using an iPhone with half the number, in terms of generation, of the current iPhone.
Thinking about upgrading?
For iPhone I would go Pro for the OLED display which is why I moved to the iPhone 11 Pro. Nice to be able to see the screen when I am out walking around, and in sunlight.
When it comes to eSIM I am going to have to check with my carrier to see how this would work for me if I need to move to a backup iPhone. A few years back I dropped, and killed my iPhone to a point it would not power up. I was lucky in that I still had my previous iPhone so all I did was pop out the SIM, and move it to my old iPhone and I was back up and running until I could get my newer iPhone repaired. Need to see how hard this is going to be if I have a new iPhone that only supports eSIM. Is there a KISS way to move my phone number/eSIM to a backup iPhone?
After some review it is looking like I may be moving away from the iPhone product line if I can not purchase one with a SIM card tray. Looking like no easy way to move from device to another device should it die. This is a deal breaker. At least I am going to get a USB type C port.
For now sticking with my iPhone 11 Pro with A13 154.9 GFLOPS supercomputer in my pocket until Apple comes out with an iPhone that has SIM tray, and a USB Type C connector that I hope is either USB4 40, or USB4 80.

I think that they went with white box to psychologically convince ,,normal” people to Buy it (white box indicates mainstream product while black box means that the Product is just for the pros) and we all know they just want us to buy the pros.
