This is quite helpful! Now I can make my own islands without the hassle! For some other techniques, I would suggest using certain blocks and items to make elaborate wall/floor patterns, lamp posts, roof detailing and some other things. That should help others come up with their own design!

Ben you can make underwater room, floor full of shells ( they give oxygen) so you keep the whole glassroom in the sea and you can look outside underwater too!
As per request in the end of the video Bottomless pot- you can use it to get milk from the cows on IoA A good way to grow tomato’s- make a checkerboard pattern with water, plant, water, plant pattern leaving space for sugarcane in the water blocks when tilled The bridge can be used as bridges for other things such as for laying track The shelf when unlocked can be used to mark out rooms and plan big builds Glass flooring can be used as sun roof or a way to get natural light into a room for realistic lighting effects when dealing with an aquarium The connected windows can be used to see inside the water if you make a good sized window (with invisible water enabled in settings) Let your hunter mechs/ killing machines do your planting when making a field using 9 seeds out of one, if you need more of a certain seed, it’s a cool way to get more seeds of what your low on Also to keep your monsters in one place, give them an animal bed and nameplate, otherwise they will use the unused name plated animal bed (depending on the size of your barn, you can add the monsters there otherwise, any monsters you have assigned, place down a bed and they should stay in that area)

Well it's not related to building techniques but I'd love a video about all mini-bosses & the items they drop. Rare drops, bosses locations... I think a lot of people would be interested, I mean, you can only find some raaare items this way.

I don't know if I understand your question, but you can upgrade your pot so that it can hold lava and poison. You just have to collect enough mini medals through the tablet targets or builder puzzles on the islands.
You can also use 1st person to pour the water on the Block you are (just look on your feet and use the pot) This technique is also useful to replace water when your doing a river or a waterfall (cause sometimes there is a block without water right in the middle of your waterfall but the game don't want you to use your pot on that block)
The most mind-blowing thing for me, which wasn't even addressed, is that you can use the bottomless pot on a lava BLOCK! Like, it wouldn't even occur to me since it isn't liquid. Also, how do the shifting sand blocks work? Do they just disappear, or do the fall down below or something?
Does anyone know how I ended up with two bottomless pots? It's very nice to just switch equip and have multiple liquids, I wanted to do it for each style liquid. Thanx.
No plans have been announced yet. Though they gave a huge emphasis on the last *free* update when releasing it. Also there are still 2 items which aren't made infinite: cotton and fur. And at which time of the year do you need those items the most? Winter. So I'm pretty certain they'll announce a holiday pack in the coming month which will be released before halloween. This pack will feature halloween & christmas (maybe also easter bunny) stuff. A holiday material island where you can farm christmas trees, cocoa plants (to make pralines and hot chocolate) and some other things. But this is just guessing. Although it would make perfect sense.

Isle of awakening has dead spots for villages that will build but will not use that room I learnt that hard way. We know we have 3 areas of island village will live n work if we all know board line would be great for everyone. (Trick I found out is take out toilets n place them in area u want to build)

I wish I knew this trick sooner so I didn't have to regenerate my buildertopia for so many times to get the one with least water in the middle of the island...
Short answer: Poorly. They didn't even program that into the game, it still collides and renders as if the block was full, graphics glitches included. There's also the issue with fire and lava not being rendered behind/under water... I guess could make a nice pool death trap with that though.
Can anyone please help, I've built a moat around my village on 1st island during main story, it is 3 blocks wide and 2 high and I cannot for the life of me fill it with water that is 2 blocks high. Is there a trick to doing this?
I have finished the story, have 46 different rooms on my main island, have visited the customized island, fully explored all of the island and the last dlc is still not activated. Is there something that I am missing?

@@BenXC If you do that video, make sure to include how to split signals and alternate two functions with one button... Today I spent over half an hour figuring out one reason after another why my secret door wouldn't close again when it worked fine in another build...
@@BenXC Sure is. It needs to follow rules I have figured out mostly, but not completely. Example 1: Two pullers facing each other, or a pusher and puller facing the same direction, can be alternated by splitting the signal with a plate/button and two (or more) directional activators. Here the plate cannot be activating two pullers directly, then it arbitrarily chooses one and never the other. Example 2: My elevator's call button uses one directional activator to operate two pullers, one facing up, one facing down. No matter where the platform is, it always comes. Here the activator will activate both pullers instead of only one. Example 3: That works even simultaneously, so you can move blocks together or apart at the same time easily. Maybe I'll build a huge double sliding door If I find a place for it. Hm... I'll upload some screens, you can find them by searching "Estharon" on en.dragonquest-builders.com later. (Edit: done)

if you beat the story you should have gotten a quest to help free the hammerhood from inside of the mountain under the builders temple on your island. That's where the secret room with the magnet blocks and recipes are.
You can't just have the Simpsons House in Hyrule and not explain it.
Please make a video based on Mechanical interactions with item switches and triggers, as well as the items not too obviously mechanical.

you can use the innertube to float on to pick up blocks that float away.

Yeah that was the main problem. It's also very hard to recreate the inside without changing the outside. It took quite some fiddling^^
There's a mostly complete model in the xbox 360/PS3 simpsons game. Maybe someone you know has it, or just look for LP footage.
Also there is a licensed lego model, everything can be seen in detail

When I do this it creates a waterfall runing down the glass. Even when the whole thing is filled the water still runing down

Have you checked that room visible behind ivy halfway on the path up the center mountain? If yes, have you been to all explorer's islands?
Mamba Tumba there is a hidden room on the road to the island temple, read the books inside and you'll learn how to build magnet blocks
