    I just had someone give me this tip the other day .. definitely helped my back hand was 270-280 prior to that (i just started) and since then i've thrown multiple over 3 with the same disc. with one shot probably being 310-330 today where i was like.. dayum and it was nose up .. i got about 20 ft shy of a tree line I'm NEVER near

      That's awesome. Keep getting the plastic to the metal. 400' is in your future, and mine. 😊

    Played a round yesterday and my focus was to keep my hand on the outside of the disc as long as possible. Since filming myself this summer I noticed I had always collapsed the power pocket, rounded a bit and unfurled early. It's the best swing thought for me right now, since it gets my elbow out away from my body and I get the out-in-out motion of the disc automatically. I had some timing issues and it felt weird, but I had a couple throws very close to 400, and they didn't even feel like good throws. I'm sure with more practice I'll be getting more snap and throwing over 400 easy.

    I curl the wrist out in my max reachback and then curl it back in in the pullthrough. I need to throw about 30-40 max power shots before I nail it, but I reach just shy of 500ft (about 140-145 meters) pretty consistently with that. I also feel like I get deeper into the power pocket and can throw way more overstable discs like absolute lasers when I do it. Probably because there's way more spin when the disc snaps out from deep in the pocket with a properly curled wrist.

    Nice vid, I'll give it a try. My max throws are 360 or so right now, would love to get more than that or even just to be able to reach my max more consistently

    I stopped curling my wrist "by force" and instead keep the wrist loose let the wrist/disc curl by itself - the disc does the whip motion now by itself and I get more snap & distance.
    It does this by itself, because the disc is coming from outside to inside and then to outside.

    Adding spin on the throw will probably only ADD distance not make anything turn more, just increasing the gyroscopic stability to let it go further at the same speed, might even stable some understable stuff to go further. Just so folks trying it out won't expect the difference be in the shape of the flight. Removing spin keeping speed will on the other hand will let discs turn more on clean releases not oat, since oat would be bad for a less stable flight all day long. ^_^
    (I got a runners knee and I really should train the muscles around it but since I don't find the time to run its not an issue using a compression sleeve when work+throwings adds up to some extra burden over a day or two.)

    Clearly I need work.

    Good stuff here! Some advice from a runner--if you're not already, start doing strength training for your hips with lots of single leg strength work, or your hip issue will keep coming back. 2-3/wk and work up to adding weight. Just resting won't actually fix what's wrong. Good luck!

      yeah i’m in the gym 6x a week right now + lots of stretching. It’s definitely tough right now but I know long term it pays off.

      meh many Dr. say many diff things.. ive tried the workout to fiz pain but its pure rest needed like minimum 3months if not more without doing anything THEN workout before you get back into throwing!

    to me "and i may be seeing it wrong" but looks like youre releasing the disc at 20clock vs 10oclock?

  • @OkieTradez
    @OkieTradez 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    the wrist bend will come IF you wait until the very last second to push out with the wrist "explode" when you release instead of exploding the second you get into the power pocket .. matter of fact youll get into the right pec power pocket if you wait instead of exploding early..
