Unbelievable, this girl REALLY gave Zenia a run for her money in terms of containing her using her powers, and all of a sudden, the minute she’s all patched up and taking care of in Max’s apartment, the Demon Lord just decides to possibly add her to his roster of minions. Just GREAT!!!!!!!! I hope he’s not planning to REPLACE Zenia and everything! That would be just wrong, man.

This actually does bring up a question I had about Maou’s reasoning for the war and opinions on humans in general. When we saw him discussing the fragility of humans in Zenia’s flashback, Maou sounded almost like an animal conservationist advising his students on how to best take care of humans. Then there’s the way he tried to recruit Max, and then she not only tried to recruit Max again, but also Lim. Maou seems quite eager to find talented humans and have them become demons, so there doesn’t seem to be any kind of prejudice towards them. So why did Maou declare war on the human realms? Was it because he wanted to see if he could do it? Or was it to put pressure on the humans so their best and brightest would confront him and he’d have a chance to recruit them?
Also, good eye on trying to recruit Lim. The technique and skill she uses to control her fire magic is astounding. If she were to become a demon, with their inherent ability for magic combined with the skill she polished as a human, she would be an awesomely terrifying force to be reckoned with. If I were a demon lord, I’d probably offer one of my horns to recruit her.
