  • Just sharing what I did to my xterra, before I took it off-roading. If you do decide to remove the rear sway bar, I would suggest trying out first if it’s for you. You’re responsible and liable for your own safety. Removing the rear sway bar allows the rear suspension to articulate more, which helps keeping the tires to stay on the ground.

Very cool! It's so clean for a 2013. Looks so much better!

@@xbenture I got the Heist XD series, not really trail rated wheels. I'm just trying to build my rig for overlanding, so, I can get to remote locations for my Landscape photography. I spent years back in the late 90's until around 2006 wheeling Land Rover Discoveries. I use to have a dedicated 1994 TDI Diesel Discovery that wasn't street legal. I don't have the money to sink into a rig for parts and repairs anymore, so, I'm more into dispersed camping that kinda thing. I just got back from a three day excursion out in the Mojave that finished off at Trona Pinnicles. Just got a new drone, new camera setup for TH-cam Overlanding stuff.

@@ravholly Yeah with some good tires and a decent ground clearance, the xterra can take you to a lot of places.
My xterra is built more for exploring and camping with the family. That’s why I try not to beat on it on the trail.

Awesome bro!! Instant more clearance and flex right there. And it looks so much better! How is driving on the highway with no sway-bar? Is it very noticeable?

Exactly bro! For me, on the highway I don’t feel much difference with the rear sway bar removed. As long you don’t drive your rig like a damn race car, it should be fine.

Do you have factory skid plates on your pro4x?

    • @xbenture

Yes it came with the factory skid plates, but I’ve replaced them with steel aftermarket ones.
